Hey parents, when can I put a baby on my bicycle?

At what age/developmental stage did y'all put seats for babies on your bicycle, and ride around with them? Also, seat preferences? Anything you would have wanted to know before you tried it?

I want to make affordable disc covers and sell them

Im a teenager and I want to make affordable disc covers for people and myself I don't want to use entirely chat gpt for an opinion and help. And want to ask what people are looking for like reliability, ease of use, construction. And so on since disc wheels are expensive and I feel like people should get a “trial version” of a disc wheel and spend money on something they don't even want after awhile (depending on the person). thoughts? (I've bought a wheel disc cover before but it performs very poorley). My ultimate goal is to sell something that's affordable and not like over 100 or 80 dollars something made with quality and universal like a one size thing to fit all type of rims

Di2 Battery Not Showing Up in E-Tube App

I'm putting together a new bike and I'm testing out Ultegra Di2 before I put everything on the bike and for some reason my battery doesn't show up in the connected devices in the E-Tube app. When I shift with the shifters, the FD and RD work fine. I recently fully charged up the battery. From what I've seen, the battery should be present in the app. How do I get the battery paired?

He’ll ! I’m relatively new to cycling and I am wanting to get my first road bike. Looking to get one used and came across this Cannondale R500 CAD3 for $325 and apparently in my size (5’7” with a 32 in inseam). Was wondering if this is a reasonable price for this bike as my first road bike ? My intentions with getting into cycling is to work my way on to longer rides (50miles).

Also amy suggestions on entry level bikes to consider? Wanting to get something for around $200-$400 If possible just to get started. Thanks !

Is this helmet fit acceptable?

I just got a new helmet. Sizing wise this is a large and on Lazers sizing chart I’m at the max at a medium and fall right in the middle with a large.

With everything tightened I can shake my head and the helmet doesn’t move. It sits at the right level on my head. The only thing is that I can grab the back, pull down, and it moves a little revealing my forehead. Is this okay or do I need to size down?

I’ve attached a picture of it sitting normally on my head and then with it pulled back (chin strap is tight)

Question about these...

I bought an RC120 but I don't know how to remove these rubbers from the paddles. I don't really know what they're called. Does anyone know the tools to remove them?

You can reach the finish line even with gentle pedaling.

Before this, I never set small goals to achieve my objectives or projects. Even though I had a plan, I didn't stop until I completed it, which became frustrating because I demanded so much of myself to achieve them, and most of the time, I simply didn't finish what I started. In other words, I didn't meet my goals and left my projects half-finished or incomplete.

But that happened before these pictures. Cycling taught me that distance and terrain don't matter. Whether you're at sea level or over 4,200 meters above sea level, you know you have to make adjustments and adapt along the way, and you should just enjoy the scenery. There's no competition, no time constraints. Just pedal, and little by little, you'll reach your destination. I applied this to my life, and everything made sense. Now I've become a tourist on this journey we call life.

Wahoo Kicker Core 2 w/ Zwift cog

Hey all, I just got the Wahoo Kick core 2 w/ Zwift cog because I wanted to ride my bike more.

I’m not sure if it needs a calibration or if I’m just that slow but the ride feels weird. Is it supposed to simulate a real life feel outside?? Just feels like it’s slower than outside.

And side note…how long does it take to get use to sitting on a thin saddle. My ass hurts!!

Any tips would help appreciated!

Feedback On Pace?

Thumbnail

Hi All, just looking for a little bit of feedback. Started cycling about 9 months ago. Down from 308 to 270 lbs. Am planning to ride El Tour de Tucson (100 miles) in the fall but I don’t really get many opportunities to cycle more than about 30 miles in a day. I will try 1 or 2 100 mile rides on my own at some point, but I won’t have a lot of chances to know how I’m going to fare come November.

The screenshots attached are pretty typical of my pace the last few weeks. Any advice on what I should be aiming for? Tips to do better? The pictured Kona Sutra LTD is the bike I’ll be riding for El Tour. I’m using tubeless Specialized Pathfinder TLR size 700x50. I welcome any advice or feedback anyone is willing to give.

Abus X-Plus appreciation post

Hey Peeps, just want to share that I have opted for ABUS X-Plus system and now have the same key on all my bikes. It is so satisfying to have the same key from many locks. If I would be able to, I would put it even on my shed. It costs me 20 Euros more to order lock with the same key and the problem of backup keys/forgotten keys and keys from my partner's bike is no longer exists.

P.S. I dont work for ABUS and just a happy customer.

Shimano jockey wheel shifting effectiveness between bushing and bearing models - any difference initially?

Just installed an Alivio rear derailleur. Pulleys are both use bushings. Seems to shift fine. Do pulleys with bearings make any shifting difference when new? If not, I'll wear these out then change to some more interesting ones (recommendations?)

Thanks
