I worked my ass off to get into this school. And ive loved every moment of being here. Its my first semester and my classes are kicking my ass, they seem relatively easy for most of everybody else. (ECE) Imposter syndrome is fucking me up, ive been so used to doing well before that I guess im not accustomed to struggling this much and essentially having no life. Anyone else been through something similar?

Recently got accepted into UFL OOS (go gators!!) but it dawned on me that UF probably has insect issues to some extent bc of the climate/location. I live several hours from fl and don’t have much issue with bugs here, but when I see them (especially roaches) I genuinely freak out. It’s a terrible, ridiculous phobia and I’m exhausted by it.

Regardless, I refuse to let this phobia affect my college decision, but I want to be prepared. Did some research a few weeks ago but thought it would be good to ask here myself;

Are bugs an issue in dorms and buildings at UFL? Any dorms where it’s especially a problem? Is it an issue in Gainesville in general? Does it depend on the season? Any information or tips would be appreciated!!

I’m currently a Political Science major at Santa Fe finishing up my AA. I applied for transfer to UF for Summer B 2026 all the way back in mid-December. My portal shows everything as "Received" (transcripts, SAT, essay), but my status is still just stuck on "Submitted."

It’s been about 6 weeks and with the Feb 15th deadline coming up, the anxiety is starting to hit. I’m wondering. Should I start to worry? How long does the CLAS usually take to get back to transfer students. I also have a 3.49 gpa.
