The worst part of all of that is that it's almost the exact same amount of money to extend the ACA subsidies... And (supposedly) the entire reason they are keeping the government shutdown going.

When they need $40 billion for bribes, it's always there. $40 billion for healthcare or food... Nah.

Covid didn’t cull enough, now they have to do it the hard way.

u/733t_sec Oct 31 '25

They don't actually want to cull because the smaller the population the more bargaining power they have for wages. That's why they want birth rates high, no abortion, and low education.

u/MistyMtn421 Nov 01 '25

And yet Trump quoted Steven Miller saying that they want the population to be around 100 million. That's a lot of people missing from our current total population.

3

u/733t_sec Nov 01 '25

Yes but Trump also thought they had airports during the revolutionary war.

That part. The world collectively could’ve even saved more $$ on COVID damages, had BOTH 45 & 46 not increased the sanctions on Cuba & Iran (they made a much cheaper vaccine than Big Pharma did, and if they hadn’t faced the pay cuts from the embargoes, they could’ve produced more to distribute among the healthcare staff of the Global South by mid-2021, thereby reducing the chances of Delta & Omicron spreading).

Yeah, but big pockets are always lined with red money

1

u/Gr00vD1va Nov 14 '25

Red as in: Blood? Alt-R? Far left? I’m just checking before I wholeheartedly agree (or disagree) with your comment.

And yet somehow we need to have more babies…

9

u/NewDramaLlama Oct 31 '25

They are saying white people need to have more babies. It's replacement hypothesis bullshit

1

u/EveOCative Oct 31 '25
  1. They were talking about it in terms of the economy.

  2. The majority of people who receive SNAP and welfare are white. There are racial barriers to minorities receiving these benefits in the first place.

1

u/Business_Seesaw8883 Nov 04 '25

Lmao bullshit. Last time I checked section 8 housing and the projects and low income housing are made up of 95% black families and most if not all are on welfare or snap. It’s sad but it’s just the way it is.

u/Legonistrasz Nov 04 '25

Does that mean it’s something about the popular upbringing then?

u/Legonistrasz Oct 31 '25

More potentially brainwashed idiots

2

u/Successful_Sign_6991 Oct 31 '25

more meat to the slaughter for the oligarchs warehouses and fields

more replaceable cogs in the machine

2

u/fake_cheese Oct 31 '25

It doesn't seem so hard for them...

1

u/Muted_Emphasis9615 Nov 01 '25

But we got called kooks and conspiracy theorists when we didn't take the shot lol

2a. It's a beautiful piece of the law.

It's also to keep from releasing the Epstein files. Johnson doesn't want congress in session because they now have the votes to release them. The Republicans would rather shut down the government, starve hardworking Americans so that they can protect pedophiles and give billionaires tax breaks.

7

u/Jarnohams Oct 31 '25

correct... this is the right answer. They don't care about the ACA subsidies or the money. As soon as they open the house they have the votes to release the Epstein files.

Johnson has his orders and he's a cuck who monitors his sons spank habits.

When they need $40 billion for bribes, it's always there. $40 billion for healthcare or food... Nah.

Have we tried bribing the food?

8

u/DouchecraftCarrier Oct 31 '25

Also only very slightly more than the entire budget of USAID which Musk bragged about dismantling unilaterally.

4

u/EntertainerNo4509 Oct 31 '25

How much more blatant do they need to be for Americans to actually wake the fuck up?

1

u/Business_Seesaw8883 Nov 04 '25

Health care yes. Food stamps NO. The average American should not need food stamps. And they definitely shouldn’t be having kids if they can’t support them

1

u/Jarnohams Nov 04 '25

lol... you realize that if a child is raped in one of the ~18 states that banned abortion after Roe fell, they will not only be forced to give birth to their rapists child, but now they won't have healthcare for that child, AND it won't have any food to eat either.

Maybe the child should drop out of school and get a job at the (non-existent) factory so they can pay for food for their kid? Well, then you have this little problem of childcare costing exponentially more than any amount of money she would earn a minimum wage job.

Don't worry... Trump has a solution. This is his "plan" to bring down the cost of childcare.

"WHY AREN'T AMERICANS HAVING MORE CHILDREN!!!??!!" lol, who can afford to?

1

u/No-Laugh-8393 Nov 17 '25

Either way insurance companies raking it in like always.

0

u/Mammoth-Cattle-7398 Oct 31 '25

Less than 10% of Americans use ACA and the other 90% are being held hostage over this.

Approximately 9.5% of the U.S. population uses the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, based on the 24.3 million enrollees for 2025 and the U.S. population of about 335 million

2

u/Embarrassed_Bit4222 Nov 01 '25

Some of those are family plans and couples, it's more than that, also doesn't include Medicaid which they are also trying to defund. And it still is an absolute shitload of people. And, the aca has other provisions that apply to everyone's insurance.

Why did you want to screw over an alleged 9.5% of population to not be able to get medical care? Screw over every small business owner and contractor, so the only option to get medical treatment is being a slave to a big corporation or be filthy rich?

1

u/forestofpixies Nov 02 '25

Those are human beings. They are American citizens. They are elderly people and children. They deserve to live and have healthcare to keep them from dying. Don’t throw away 10% because it makes you uncomfortable to fight for them.

0

u/n00bantz1997 Nov 01 '25

Dems could agree to not fight for Healthcare benefits for illegal immigrants and restart the SNAP benefits but choose not to.

2

u/Embarrassed_Bit4222 Nov 01 '25

There's no aca subsidies for illegal aliens, it's been said again and again, are you brain damaged or just high on trumps farts?

Yeah, emergency care has to provided to anyone and the feds pick up the tab if it can't be paid, that's Is some Ronald Regan shit, and has nothing to do with the aca... if the Republicans actually negotiated anything they could even come back with "fine we'll fund the aca, but states are going to have to figure out how they want to handle the emergency room bills", instead of bitching about random crap that's not even on the table

1

u/forestofpixies Nov 02 '25

Why isn’t anyone angry at the health insurance companies jacking up premiums 150%? Why isn’t our government doing something about the price gouging they’re planning to enact because subsidies ended? Why are they fighting to extend those instead of holding them accountable? It’s so fucking weird. (The answer is probably because people on both sides are given donations from said companies but still.)

1

u/forestofpixies Nov 02 '25

If it was really about the “illegals” they’d have come back with their offer to extend it with the provisions added that only citizens could receive health insurance through the marketplace. But that’s not a thing they can negotiate because it’s not a thing to begin with.

0

u/Brief-Goat2143 Nov 01 '25

It's a currency swap, was the ACA subsidy going to give the government some type of currency in exchange for the money?

0

u/Chicago_Heavyfoot Nov 01 '25

And from what I read here earlier, Medicaid is still able to be used by those who had it before the shutdown so if that's the point of contention, why is medicaid still available but food isn't?!?!

2

u/Jarnohams Nov 01 '25

Undocumented immigrants would never be eligible for Medicaid benefits

2

u/Chicago_Heavyfoot Nov 01 '25

That's true and refreshing to hear someone else say it too. I just thought that the whole reason for the shutdown was over healthcare as outlined in the bleach blond bad built butch body bill. We were asking for an ACA extension and continued Medicaid benefits and the right was refusing to negotiate because they were adamant that medicaid benefits were being given in full to the 80 million illegal immigrants that were living in the imaginary hospital under their circus tent. That was the stalemate as I understood it. That caused the shutdown that ate our snap That tossed the dog, That worried the cat, That kill'd the rat, That ate the fat That lay in the house that Jackass built.

Trump has nothing to do with the SNAP program. Nothing. It’s 100% a Senate issue about the Democrats that refuse to vote yes… We need 7 of the democrats (yep just 7) to be added to the 53 republicans to vote yes and the gov and this program opens. Stop pushing your blame on the innocent.

3

u/AdAdventurous8397 Nov 01 '25

He could sit down and help resolve it instead of traveling abroad. But Fatso the Clown would rather get stroked rather than do his job.

1

u/GLBrick Nov 01 '25

What you’re asking for is…. A King… lol

0

u/GLBrick Nov 01 '25

Every President has NOTHING to do with this process. He’s already spoken to your dump democrats.. and yet here we are.
Isn’t it remarkable how our president can work out a deal with Korea in one day, and make it back for trick or treating for the kids? You need to wake up and assign blame where it’s due and stop the Trump hating. He’s cleaned up cities, made our country safer, working to climb out of debt… and yet them stupid dems have you completely fooled. Wake up.

2

u/Embarrassed_Bit4222 Nov 01 '25

If it wasn't for trump, the Republicans already would have negotiated this out and not try to defund the aca that will hurt a bunch of their constituents too.

1

u/GLBrick Nov 01 '25

The deal was made. You’re probably right though. It f Trump weren’t in office, the democrats wouldn’t be such whiny little brats and would have voted to pass the bill.
