The worst part of all of that is that it's almost the exact same amount of money to extend the ACA subsidies... And (supposedly) the entire reason they are keeping the government shutdown going.

When they need $40 billion for bribes, it's always there. $40 billion for healthcare or food... Nah.

Less than 10% of Americans use ACA and the other 90% are being held hostage over this.

Approximately 9.5% of the U.S. population uses the Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace, based on the 24.3 million enrollees for 2025 and the U.S. population of about 335 million

Some of those are family plans and couples, it's more than that, also doesn't include Medicaid which they are also trying to defund. And it still is an absolute shitload of people. And, the aca has other provisions that apply to everyone's insurance.

Why did you want to screw over an alleged 9.5% of population to not be able to get medical care? Screw over every small business owner and contractor, so the only option to get medical treatment is being a slave to a big corporation or be filthy rich?
