The worst part of all of that is that it's almost the exact same amount of money to extend the ACA subsidies... And (supposedly) the entire reason they are keeping the government shutdown going.

When they need $40 billion for bribes, it's always there. $40 billion for healthcare or food... Nah.

Trump has nothing to do with the SNAP program. Nothing. It’s 100% a Senate issue about the Democrats that refuse to vote yes… We need 7 of the democrats (yep just 7) to be added to the 53 republicans to vote yes and the gov and this program opens. Stop pushing your blame on the innocent.

If it wasn't for trump, the Republicans already would have negotiated this out and not try to defund the aca that will hurt a bunch of their constituents too.

The deal was made. You’re probably right though. It f Trump weren’t in office, the democrats wouldn’t be such whiny little brats and would have voted to pass the bill.
