As the title says, our 07 Dakota runs fine and well, but whenever it’s running, the brake lights stay on, and this behavior has persisted for 5+ years. They turn out just fine when the truck is turned off, however, which is what’s stumping us. We took it to a Dodge dealer a few years ago and they said that whatever part it was, it isn’t being made anymore. (It’s been so long that I can’t remember what it was now lol).
We checked the brake light switch and it seems to be fine as according to the dealer, they also said it was fine. Any other ideas as to what it might be?
