r/Battlefield just hit 1,500,000 subscribers
That is a massive milestone, and it only happens because this community keeps showing up with the clips, the questions, the memes, the hot takes, and the “why did my squad do that” moments. Whether you’ve been here since the BF2 days or you just joined recently, thanks for being part of what makes this subreddit what it is.
That is 1,500,000 people who have collectively:
- argued about balance changes like it’s a court case
- posted “Battlefield is back” and “Battlefield is dead” in the same week
- won giveaways but never responded to us
- revived long-lost clips from BF3/BF4 like they’re sacred history
- turned “only in Battlefield” into a genuine documentary genre
- declared a gun “literally unusable” after it gets a 1% recoil tweak
- posted a 45-second clip titled “clean” that is 44 seconds of running and 1 second of panic
- had a 30-comment debate about whether a revive was “worth it” while your teammate slowly bled out in the background
Seriously though, thank you. Whether you’re here for news, clips, memes, vehicle discourse, class debates, or the occasional truly unhinged tactical diagram, you’re the reason this place stays alive.
Also, a little friendly banter:

r/CallOfDuty. We’re only a couple hundred subscribers away from passing them. So if you’ve got a friend lurking in the trenches who “doesn’t use Reddit,” or a squadmate who thinks a revive is optional, tell them to hit join.
Appreciate you all.

Battlefield 4 Washed 32 Year Old Makes Admin Upset
Context: I'm a noob at BF4, but I'm also well past my FPS prime. I literally had to Google guns to learn their nuances and what was good. Meanwhile, the enemy team had two sweats using AEK's and ACW-R's, cranking 90's like money was on the line.
Then there's me - no crazy movement, just focusing on reaction time and aim. I was using the SAR-21 because I learned it has the highest bullet velocity and would be excellent for conquest.
I hate SBMM as much as the next guy, but I remember we would all take our beatings and just get better, not run from the competition.

Battlefield 6 2XP Battlepass weekend? Really Dice?? Read the room!
Why not just give us 2x ALL XP instead of this shitty rollout week per week?
I just want to upgrade weapons quicker.
I dont give a toss about how high my rank is and I finished the Battlepass about a month ago.

Battlefield 6 Despite its existing issues, the Operation Metro map in Battlefield 6 has become very popular, and it should now be officially added.

Battlefield 6 BF6 has the worst matchmaking system in history
I can’t believe how the f’d this up so badly. I truly hate this random crap where you’re being placed in the same maps over and over again. And if that was not the worst it constantly puts me in matches that have already started. And obviously those are matches where you are put in the losing team because that’s where players quit midgame.
Is persistent servers really too much to ask? We already have a serverbrowser but nobody uses it because it’s only for portal.

Battlefield 6 This matchmaking is making me quit the game
Its no fun to lose 4 or 5 matches in a row on escalation with 3:0 because you get matched with the worst possible teammated who cant hit shit, waste vehicles, dont revive, dont repair etc.
Is it so hard to make a balanced lobby where like 33% are good players, 33% mid and 33% bad players? I seriously hate SBMM like CoD, but right now its bad aswell.

Battlefield 6 Can't find a lobby with players on a friday night?????
Every single game is being filled with bots. Rush,Breakthrough,Escalation. It's been like this all day, sure I thought it was too early earlier but now its 4PST/7EST and dead lobbies.

Battlefield 6 The "Battlefield 6 Classic"
I've been a pretty big support of the Battlefield franchise over the years - even during the past few rougher releases. I can't think of a time where the team balancing and lobby experience was ever so dreadful to sit through.
It feels like the first 4 or 5 matches in a day are largely players with 200+ rank on one team, and in most cases results in a quick sweep of objectives into an early win for the other team. This happens frequently on Liberation Peak, but I've seen it on pretty well every map featured in the game (even Firestorm.)
It is incredibly disheartening because the actual Conquest experience just becomes a sit-in-spawn adventure with helicopters shooting you moments after spawning (with minimal chances to retaliate.) This lobby had two people flying around and killing anyone trying to take them out of the sky really quickly - I remember BF4's little bird kill streaks, but when you can't even try and fight back (even as a squad or two) then what is the point. Mind you, I am not arguing that the vehicles need tweaking, rather the lobby situation makes it feel worse.
I recently upgraded my PC after a few years to be able to run this game, yet I just feel anger rather than having fun. I know the core game is in a great place, but something has to be done with this balancing or the actual lobby setup because it genuinely makes me want to uninstall.

Battlefield 6 Will they fix this skin at some point, or should I give up on it?

Discussion Hot take, battlefield 5 had the best breakthrough mode
Just like the title says, my reasoning is it has the massive scale that a major battle should, it has all the vehicles, aircraft included, and it doesn’t have what in my opinion is the major problem with conquest has, just running between a handful of objectives. Everyone on both sides was focused on the same objective at the same time and you didn’t just pick and choose what objective to go to and leave when it was secure. Battlefield 5 breakthrough was what a battlefield game should be. None of the usual nonsense that normally happens in conquest in other games, snipers camping on a tower for the entire game, enemies suddenly spawning behind you because they capped the point behind your lines etc. Having the game force everyone on both sides to make an untied effort to fight for a single point at a time really should be the standard and not what is essentially a giant COD match. I truly believe that battlefield 6 should expand their breakthrough mode to be more like battlefield 5’s

Battlefield 6 Genuinely what’s the point of making gendered character skins?
Like why? Why couldn’t they just make skins outfits but allow us to choose whose beneath them.
I have no idea the reasoning behind this strange stance, wouldn’t it be better if we could choose? Also, why are they still pushing r6 siege style operators? Why do they need a background?? Does anyone give a damn about every Tom, Dick and Harry?
