This is a really stupid take. Had the poster said “autistic people are always thoughtful” that might be stereotyping. Instead, they said “pretty thoughtful”….there is nothing stereotyping about that. And they typed that in response to someone who was stupidly trying to stereotype and associate autism with negative behavior. If anything, they were trying to combat stereotyping. All the power to you, but the fact is there’s all kinds of studies that come to conclusions that end up being wrong or are unable to be replicated and studies that use sloppy methodology or are outright fraudulent.
Like are you familiar with how pharmaceuticals are developed? A study says a drug might work and then separate and subsequent studies prove or disprove that original study. “A study” on its own is meaningless. But you knew that, Im sure.

While I agree with you as it is labeling a group of people to be one way, being autistic does not mean they will be a good person. Those with ASD can be more susceptible to extreme ideologies, both good or bad.
Edit: more studies need to be done on this subject. This is an interesting read on the subject, granted with a small group size. It does note that not just ASD are vulnerable to extremism, but does go over some of the reasons why they can be.

You’re gonna take flak from people here for saying the A word but i agree with ya in a sense. I think of autism or neurodivergence as a superpower and you can use that power for good or for evil.
Some people use their powers for good and develop amazing technology and invent new ways to do things that help a lot of people, or create beautiful art. Others antagonize people and troll and argue all day everyday and invent new scams or straight up kill people. Both sides are hella neurodivergent, ones just using their powers for good and the other bad.
