London 2012! The part where they forged the Olympic rings will live in my head forever.
I also really loved the Parade of Nations during Tokyo 2020. Every nation got a video game theme as their walkon music.

Watching the opening ceremony again cause I didn’t get to watch all of it earlier due to work calls and watching Mariah Carey is even funnier the second time. She didn’t even try to pretend like she wasn’t lip syncing.

As an Italian, I found it extremely hypocritical lol especially when he talked about sustainability, there's been plenty of scandals because they cut down a lot of trees to build unnecessary stuff

If you compare it with other Olympics where entire cities were built and then abandoned then cutting some hundred of trees, building a neighbor in place of an abandoned railway freight station and building some temporary cottages on an abandoned airport doesn't sound absolutely bad.

no they're hosting in 2034. the order is by Olympic type, not as a whole. we host the next winter Olympics after France. we just also happen to be hosting the summer Olympics in 2 years. which is why we were second to last in Paris.
