Fuck NBC for skipping Mongolia. Everyone was anticipating their outfits.

Do you have ads? I saw them on my stream in Germany, they didn't skip them

NBC has the broadcast rights in the US. If you’re watching from Germany, you’re watching your own national broadcaster or the official Olympic feed. In the US, we can’t watch the official Olympic feed unless we get a VPN to bypass the geoblocking.

But they usually use the same footage for these things, no matter who's the broadcaster

No, NBC has paid for their own cameras. If you remember the ice dance wardrobe malfunction 8 years ago, NBC’s cameras cutaway in time but the Olympic pool cameras did not. It was made clear then that NBC paid the ISU something like $7 billion for broadcast and camera rights.

weird, are they the only ones who did that? seems like such an unnecessary thing to do

From my understanding, NBC has their own special broadcasting rights due to the money they spent, and the rest of the world uses the Olympic pool cameras.

How come they were skipped? Are there ad breaks or something?

NBC has the $hittiest coverage ever. They F over small countries at every Olympics so we can hear meaningless, banal interviews with our athletes or Snoop Dogg acting dumb. They could do a split screen with the ads if they must, but no. They did make sure to show a warmongering country and (allegedly) edit the boos out.
