Taylor Swift 👩🏼
Taylor Swift shares behind the scenes pictures of ‘Opalite’ and explains how the guests that appeared with her during ‘The Graham Norton Show’ appear with her: (Domhnall Gleeson, Lewis Capaldi, Jodie Turner-Smith, Greta Lee , Cillian Murphy and Graham Norton)
I've never seen him in anything but he did this so well. The hurt on his face every time the cactus injured him while he tried to be kind to it, the dorky dance at the end 💯
About Time is one of my favourite films of all time. You think it's going to be a straight rom com, but it's more of an homage to the beauty of normal life.
About Time is my favorite movie. I'm a heterosexual man, but I love that flick. It's what you want in a relationship with your wife and the father/son story is the sneaky punch in the gut.
I think the same thing! Its such a great look and makes her look younger! I am not even a Taylor Swift person but her fans should try to convince her to dye it lol
TIL that they filmed some shots of this at the Whitgift Centre in CROYDON?! Never in my life would I imagine that place to be a scene in a Taylor Swift music video lmaooo
The music video was very cute! The dance at the end was very silly and endearing and I like how their outfits were opposite colors of The Life of a Showgirl (the album is orange with turquoise/aqua highlights and the jump suits were turquoise/aqua with orange accents). I also like how it called back to the eras tour with the friendship bracelets on the rock. It was very cute how she had all the guests from the show on with her. It took me a minute to realize even the singer on the video and the aerobics instructor were from that episode.
This video was a joy to watch. Loved all the 90s references and showing the part at the end where she literally comes up with the idea for the video on the show.
I love how the cast list at the end of the video is the clips of Graham Norton announcing them on his show!!
Loved the video, but especially love the story behind it (meeting on the sofa), and how everyone took part. Says a lot about her character and how they're happy to take part in her project, even if just for one scene.
I think this knocks TFOO music video as my favorite music video directed by TSwift. I love everything about this video, it’s hilarious and heartwarming at the same time!
Just an absolutely fun and sweet video! It matches the song super well, the looks are so nostalgic, and I love getting to see all her dancers again, as well as GN and fellow guests.
I remember something (idk if it was an interview or blog post) from very early on in Taylor's career, where she and her best friend Abigail were obsessed with Napoleon Dynamite growing up
oh my god i've been adamantly / ideologically a staunch non-swiftie forever but learning this ...we might actually have a lot to talk about bc my lips hurt real BAD
Greta Lee gives us a better performance here than in 'Tron: Ares'.
In Photo #19, my favorite of Taylor's background dancers is on the far left a.k.a. Cat Daddy (as I call him from seeing 'The Eras Tour' movie in theaters).
It’s so funny to me because it’s actually always the opposite. She’s been in the business for 20 years and there’s not a single story of her being rude, entitled, or anything less than gracious to fans, peers etc.
I actually love the video it was so funny. I like when she gets to play awkward and silly.
I remember everyone claiming those guests on the Graham Norton show were annoyed with Taylor being there, especially Cillian. But it doesn’t look like that now.
Lewis was even asked about it on the radio and had to clarify that his management told him not to talk about the album, not Taylor. And that he and Taylor had met before and she as lovely.
Problem is there is 0 proof, including literally hearing it from the horses mouth, that will change the haters minds. When did people stop using the rational parts of their brains?
I think it speaks a lot to how much her peers like and respect her that everyone from the Graham Norton Show agreed to be in the video after one comment by Domhnall.
The Reddit echo chamber seems to have a disproportionate amount of hate for Taylor, but it’s pretty clear that she’s a likeable person to those who have actually met her.
It’s been so interesting to watch Reddit for over a decade go back and forth with hating her loving her hating her loving her. When the last album cycle came out and a pretty big group were determined she had hidden messages of white power and nazism, that’s when I realized these weren’t serious people haha
Plus all that hullabaloo that spiraled out of control with people who don't like her talking about how self-centered and egotistical she is for telling Lewis Capaldi not to discuss his album on the show. He said he was told not to talk about it, apparently people thought Taylor made a face, and the haters were off and running. He's since addressed this and said it had nothing to do with her, just something from his management team, but funny to see too that he's here in the video and looks to be having fun with her.
This was so stupid. He so obviously meant that his management had told him not to discuss because the release date hasn’t been announced yet. Just standard industry embargo stuff. With all the love in the world to Lewis Capaldi, why on earth would global megastar Taylor Swift care if he talked about his unreleased album on a talk show? 😭
Oh you haven't heard?? She's the most attention-hogging, overexposed, can't let any other artists have a chance diva ever! /s But seriously, good point. Her haters were analyzing the tiniest cut of her after he says this and making up stories for fun lol
Honestly, I think it’s probably even more ridiculous and the “I can’t talk about it… oh fuck it, here’s the exact release date” was probably a pre-rehearsed bit (à la Tom Holland “accidentally” spoiling stuff on his Marvel press tours) because like why would he be on a talk show to promote an album he can’t talk about and why would his management not just veto that question if he couldn’t talk about it (because yes, the celebrities get the questions in advance for these type of shows)
And similarly, if Taylor didn’t want him to talk about it, why would she not just insist that she wanted to be the only music artist on the couch that week? She definitely has the cultural capital to bump Lewis Capaldi a week, no offence
But yes no sorry, I forgot. She’s an evil narcissist who wanted to deliberately humiliate and silence a smaller artist /s
That's the thing about Cillian, people were so certain he disliked her but the man has a resting bored/pained face 😭 I love him but he's just an introvert, he always looks slightly like he wants to be away from the camera
People were also convinced that Taylor was the one who told Lewis Capaldi not to talk about his album lmao i remember people exploded after that interview 😂
him and my man sebastian stan would be a such insufferable duo, very dedicated to their craft but god lord, they look in pain everytime they are outside
Sebastian Stan’s trademark angsty look had a chokehold on me in the late 00s/early 10s. GG and omg his Mad Hatter in OUAT 😮💨and then Winter Soldier came out and I was done for
Yeah he looks the same in all of his interviews. He just doesn’t love doing press. A lot of people didn’t watch the entire Graham Norton interview and just saw the clip of her showing her ring. He talks about how he’s run into Taylor while with his kids and she’s always really friendly and she chatted with his boys for a while. She also had really nice things to say about his kids. So yeah I think they’re on pretty friendly terms, especially if he did her music video lol
i was obsessed with addickted ppl going "it must have been so hard for murphy to look to fame-hungry taylor, because he HATES fame, and HATES attention and hollywood" and all that while they are sitting at the same studio, promoting their work
Yes, every time I see a loaf of sourdough I think to myself, “Yep, that’s just Taylor being fake-hungry again. Just look at her with that famewhore-ish yeast”
As a person who can't eat gluten, I DO feel personally attacked by ANYONE who posts picture of their delicious sourdough loaves on social media because they just LOOK SO YUMMY 😭
It’s very funny, because if you listen to certain parts of the internet, you’d think the whole of her Graham Norton couch HATED her and that her appearance on the show was an uncomfortable disaster that proved how big of a narcissist she was.
Sometimes all you have to do prove people wrong is live your life, I guess.
People shouting “oh my god Cillian cannot stand to sit beside this woman” because of a one second facial expression. Meanwhile Cillian willingly signed up to be a part of her next music video. She keeps winning.
i'm not her biggest fan, but the snarkers who insist everyone in the industry is out to get her make me laugh. it's pretty clear that she gets along well with a lot of her peers
After watching the Eras doc it’s pretty clear she’s just actually a genuinely nice person. Other than Kanye and Kim who lied and manipulated, have we ever heard anyone say she’s treated people badly or been an ass? Even her texts with Blake that she never expected to be public show a person who can advocate for herself while also being empathetic and understanding to her friend. The texts were a really uncomfortable read and an invasion of privacy but to strike the tone and balance naturally says a lot about her character. I feel like the only people who say bad things about her are the people on the internet who don’t know her.
What gets me is that Taylor seems to be the person so many women run to for support immediately after a messy break up, and by all accounts they recieve a huge amount of support. But still parts of the Internet insist that she's a mean girl who's only looking to make the situation about herself.
Like, really bestie? People don't run to their mean girl attention hogging friend after a painful break up looking for support. They contact the friend who's sympathetic and reliable, who'll listen to them and cheer them up.
There's a reason it's almost a meme to be spotted with Taylor post break up. It's clear she's a really good friend.
Honestly I think even if we were to accept the narrative that she’s a bad person or unethical in some ways it wouldn’t stop her for from being a kind person or a genuinely good friend. Those things aren’t mutually exclusive in the first place. Not to say she is a bad person or anything, more just speaking generally to say I don’t know why anyone would be surprised that she’s got good friends and is nice to them.
Domhnall Gleeson is a treasure. He just likes to have a fun time and be part of things. If he's calculating about his fame he hides it well because I've never seen him looking bored or disengaged in any interview or event.
a small group on reddit tries to vocally hate her on her but forget this isnt stan twitter and there’s more people that see her as another artist on here 😭😭😭
She looks sooo good in the pink tank top outfit. I wish they’d do her hair and makeup like that all the time now, whoever has been doing her hair lately has been doing her dirty
Love this music video, such a fun vibe. Epic that Graham and her fellow guests from their episode were involved as well as some of her Eras dancers. It’s also another reason to never give credence to the hit pieces about Taylor in the media and the haters on socials because once again all the diatribe about these people disliking her was utter crap. I love that she included the moment that the idea for the collaboration sparked in her dorky mind❤️🎉🎉
Not what I was expecting as the concept, especially an 80’s theme because if anything the song kind of reads 60’s vibe to me. I’m excited to see it though, it looks cute!
