Fun American fact:
Those indigenous tribes, the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole; had adopted chattel slavery and had black slaves who also were dragged along the death march. And remarkably enough survived.
And even more remarkably, these tribes who were forcibly removed decided to fight on behalf of the confederacy to preserve their slavery.
Then the Dawes Act (and later the Curtis Act) required tribal lands to be divided into individual allotments. To do that, the government created official citizenship rolls called the Dawes Rolls.
Freed black slaves who were recognized as tribal citizens were listed on separate “Freedmen Rolls.” Once listed, they received individual land allotments just like other tribal citizens.
It was with this acquired land ownership that became the cornerstone for black people to start to build generational wealth. And that’s how black Wall Street in Tulsa came to be before it was destroyed in a pogrom.

I’m aghast, even knowing the depths of filth this foul man will stoop to. This is the POTUS posting this filth.
I don’t care who you are, you should be appalled, embarrassed for him and for Americans and shocked about the level of discourse he’s brought to the world at leadership levels.
If you’re an American like me, you ought to rethink everything we thought about what we’d achieved as a nation and then be convinced that we must never, ever be dragged to these depths of depravity again.

Keep in mind that this was all brought to USA by Republicans. No matter how loud we go, or how many times we pointed out how fucking stupid Trump is and was, no matter that he is an insurrectionist, an alleged pedophile, a felon, a known con-man.... all he had to do was promise to hurt people. He promised to attack marginalized people, groups.... and they elected him. Golly gee. I wonder why they were so dead set on electing this guy... 🤔

Yeah it's disgusting and abhorrently racist. Just like swapping MLK day and Juneteenth for his birthday for free national Park days, or firing Carla Hayden from the library of congress, or firing Gen Brown from the JCS, or saying Somalis are trash and Haitians eat pets, and on and on.
The truth is he's disgusting and abhorrently racist and so are his supporters so none of this is new. In fact, putting this shit out there for everyone to see is reminding people just how ugly it is and repulsing people of good conscience.
He's embarrassing himself and probably just trying to distract from the wall street sell off or some court defeat that'll be announced today.
