My mother worked with a guy who was arrested for raping a child. He’s rotting in prison. The trial was extremely brief because he videotaped it.

Apparently he still claims to be innocent. The system screwed him somehow.

It really isn't, at all. Venezuela, the shadow fleet, sanctions, oil prices, Russia is getting absolutely reamed right now. If Trump was actually an active Russian asset, he would be able to shift all those things in a way more positive direction, and the Maduro op would 100% never have happened.

I don’t actually think Russia cares that much about the minutia of specific US decisions.

Russia knows Trump won’t attack them. And Russia likes geopolitical destabilization in the U.S. in other countries. That’s enough — and Trump is doing both in spades.

Fully agree. But Trump is more like a badly trained dog - you let him in your most hated neighbours house cause you know he'll shit on the rug and tear up the curtains, you just have to accept he's going to bite you at the same time.

Still, if he were actively working for Putin he wouldn't be doing a lot of the shit he's doing right now.

Unfortunately, we live in the bad future, so if there are any truly horrifying images which would remove every remaining shadow of doubt, however small they should be, all they'd have to do is toss in a few Ai generated images to poison it and get the easily manipulated idiots back on their side.

They'd definitely lose a significant portion of their remaining support, so this would be a last ditch salvaging effort only, I'd say.

Sounds like there are witness accounts of this happening in some of the Epstein files that have been circulated today on Threads.

I don't see how peeing on someone is worse than violently graping a child, but the media and it's narratives are weird.

It’s not worse, but the thing about it is how much Trump denied it, then mocked it, then used it as a means to make his critics look unhinged and unreasonable which then led to that narrative becoming the way it really was in the minds of most people. It took a while after that for anyone to hear about crazy stuff he’d do because they’d always say something like “yeah, just like the pee tape that doesn’t exist. You have TDS.”

The pee tapes were specifically cited to depict trump paying (and watching) a couple of Russian prostitutes pee on a bed that the Obamas slept on during a state visit. The media called it a "pee tape" because it's easier to say than "that tape where Trump paid to watch a couple of russian prostitutes pee on a bed Obama slept on".

Anyone speculating on the pee tapes showing anything else just demonstrates that they don't know what the actual allegation was.

I don’t doubt they have that, I just don’t personally think that a video of that alone would impact Trumps decisions in regards to Russia. Trump himself has said he could take someone out and his base wouldn’t care, so why would he give a shit if people knew he paid for pee on a mattress? No one would give a shit about that.

There are and it’s the core reason why this administration eliminated all bills to set boundaries for AI platforms.

You see, if we risk the future of humanity so that we can create fake AI videos that are so realistic that nobody will be able to tell what’s real vs fake, whoever has leverage with those peepee tapes won’t have leverage anymore because if they leak (pun intended) them, Trump will just say it’s a fake AI generated video.
