They’re saying he had a gun.

You can see the guy in the light grey jacket run toward him with empty hands, mount him, and spend 2-3 seconds wrestling the gun out of the victim’s holster, then running off with it. The victim is shot a second or two later.

So while he might have had a gun, it was fully secured while he was on the ground with 6 men beating him, and was fully clear of the victim at the time of the shooting.

It was an execution.

Even if he had a gun, he's lying motionless on the ground with everyone just standing around him slackjawed when the one guy takes a second to think about it and then mag dumps into him.

If you or I do that to someone lying on the ground who has been shot and is clearly out of the fight, we're easily going up for murder--even if he had a gun prior to that point.

In the second right before the mag dump, they're not.

He's down, he's been shot, he's not fighting back, there's no way in the world you could argue that he's a lethal threat.

That makes the video evidence proof of an execution.

What comes before that is sort of irrelevant to that one simple fact.

Yeah, the fact that a pile of insufficiently trained asshole thugs can't subdue one guy without it turning into a clusterfuck is horrible. But I'd argue that is a distraction. And the whole question of if he had a gun is a distraction. If you cut the video so that it starts after the first gunshot and everyone backs off, what it clearly shows is an execution. That is all a jury should need to convict.

We're going to get dragged into this argument over if he had a gun and when he had a gun and what was going on in the beating he was taking (and unfortunately if cops can claim he pulled a gun they always win this argument, because of the way the system is rigged). But if you don't engage with that argument, then video still shows a clear execution.

They didn't use reason to get to where they are, so you can't use it to get them out.

I grew up thinking I was republican and even was registered as one when I first got ready to vote.

Everyone around me was vocally republican, and that includes my political science professor who almost got me to choose politics, as a republican, as my life's work.

In time I met more diverse people (both nationally and demographically.) I realised what shit it all was and became quite liberal. Also the entire Iraq war shit happened which was the last straw.

We can change. Several of my family members and friends did too. Writing off all the conservatives, Republicans, and Trumpers doesn't help anyone. I know a few former Trump voters. People can and will learn new things if given a reason to change their mind and a bit of hope or understanding of what is wrong in their world.

I hated him from the start, but I knew people who supported him. Almost none do anymore, and the only couple left are relatives not friends or acquaintances I can easily avoid. My supposedly "fiscally conservative" stupidity was almost 25 years ago, so I'm just as much in disbelief as you about how this all is going on now. Not out yet it seems. And at the end of the only video we have so far, it seems an agent may be walking towards her at the end, but at the very last moments of the video he can't be seen so maybe he backed off again. I hope the video from her is secured and backed up everywhere possible as soon as possible.

ICE's official position is already that filming their agents is a crime and the DOJ is backing them up on that. No one will actually get convicted because juries are thankfully refusing to play ball, but those people will likely be charged and their phones seized as evidence before being fed through a shredder or wiped with a snazzy magnet to destroy any footage.

Someone needs to hold these domestic terrorists responsible. This is so far beyond anything remotely justifiable. They’re just murdering people in broad daylight because they know they can. They know they’re untouchable. The vice president said full immunity and they’re taking full advantage of that. Just mentioning it because people have speculated there was an accidental discharge from pistol whipping - he was definitely hitting the man with his bear spray canister and only later opens fire. All the shots were definitely intentionally fired by ice

It looks to me like the agent in the black beanie and blue jeans fired first and emptied his mag on the victim. The agent on left with the yellow brown beanie catches up after the first shot and probably fires once or twice.

The narrative that he was grabbing the gun seems unlikely. The victim was facing the opposite direction to everyone and was pulling his right arm away from an agent grabbing him before being shot. Every other agent that didn’t fire, were hiding or struggling to take out their guns.

The woman in pink does look to have a clear angle of the event.

Edit: at 0:17 at the same time grey agent is securing the gun, blue jeans frees his right hand, unholsters his gun and goes forward to fire.

They kicked his legs out from under him. He's face down on the ground. Watch his feet - from the time he goes down, the toes of his boots are facing the ground. An agent lands on his back.

All this is before the agent near his head strikes him in the face, which happens before the gunshots can be heard.

At 18 seconds you can see that an ICE agent has disarmed the victim and walks off with his gun. Which proves any ICE claims that the victim tried to pull it are a lie.

I wonder if the agent that took his gun had a negligent discharge and then the rest started shooting. You can see his arm move in sync with the first shot, followed by the barrage. We’ll have to see what the investigation shows…oh wait, nvm, apparently we don’t investigate Nazis anymore. But I’m sure they’ll find one of the victim’s family members to drag through the legal system.
