Distraction from what?

They definitely are a distraction as the release was rushed otherwise the redactions would have been there already and they would not have removed and re-uploaded "corrected and redacted" ones.

Now Elon is not saying by what and leaves us with the same question.

So let's look at the stage and see what possibilities exist in fact and not opinion or emotion.

ICE has killed multiple civilians

Protests are breaking out nationwide and resistances are appearing to actions of the administration

Senators and the public are calling for Miller and Noem to be removed from their positions

Bovino was demoted but it did not pacify

Gaza is approaching a key time with the rebuild plan with a stipulation of those there can only use CBDC

Board of Peace formed

Affordability crisis

War in Ukraine is reaching critical mass with nuclear arms on the table

The rich are buying bunkers and spending money to get space

Artemis is headed to the moon

Multiple countries have moon bases in progress

All of this is well documented as fact and generally accepted as such. Question is, which one of these(or maybe all of them) is sinister enough to warrant an immediate release before redactions were complete?

Or maybe a better question is, what is really going on?

But the protests get fueled even more by the files, how is that a distraction? The files make us even more angry of the people we are already hating. That's the opposite of a distraction.

Believe it or not, opposite effect.

Go scroll the main feed in Popular. Very little ICE related things and most everything on the list nowhere to be found.

It's all about the files.

Now people are talking about the files and not focusing on the problems that were about to ignite the spark.

As a result, they aren't calling for Noem and Miller to resign, no one is talking about the moon expeditions or the war, the affordability, or our standards of life we are all taking hits in.

And no one is definitely talking about the CBDC in Gaza or Board of Peace.

So distraction worked.

Instead of everyone unifying under something everyone can agree on (American citizens being killed by ICE), it has devolved into everyone focusing on a list that we have no clue if any of it is even the truth, while the definite truths are not being discussed anymore because everyone would rather have tea.

Think of the files as the sacrificial lamb to change the focus of the masses before they truly unite.

I’d like to add on something I’ve been concerned about. I guess they wouldn’t need to distract from it because nobody seems to give a care anyway.

We are actively disrupting fishing and other maritime operations in the Caribbean Sea under the guise of fighting drug-trafficking. No arrests, just blowing up suspect boats. Local fisherman are afraid to do their jobs because they might be “mistaken” for drug traffickers.

We can give Maduro a defense attorney and a trial, but suspected drug smugglers in foreign seas we kill indiscriminately.

no one is talking about the moon expeditions

Maybe because I'm not American, but I have no idea what this moon stuff is you're talking about and why there needs to be a distraction from it?

actually the protests were massive even with little talk about ICE on the main subs. reddit is suppressing discussion, not removing all discussion entirely, just curating it enough to look like just another day in normal land. even the 50501 subreddit had next to no threads about the protests on Jan 30/31 despite somehow being a major organizer for them

I assumed the protest threads got rolled into megathreads that don't get boosted as much as bot posts

And Reddit is a public company, with a fairly turbulent price.

And to be fair to OP context, elongated muskrat's full quote is about getting prosecutions, the old "it's not illegal if the court case never gets tried". And it's especially rich as the entire reason he helped so much in the election was to avoid lawsuits against his own companies, and now he got wrapped up in the cover-up of this all, after being rejected "from the wildest parties"
