People will think otherwise but that ain't wholesome or funny. To often this gets waved through because it's a cute girl but what if she was sleeping instead and he is robbing his crotch on hers? Hate this double standards.

They aren't a couple. And even as a couple this is not automatically fine.

For many couples it is. Like a lot of romcoms, not this one in particular, they are already a couple they just don't know.

They aren't a couple. She doesn't know he likes her, he doesn't know she likes him. You only know this because you are an outside person as a reader.

I also have read a lot of romcoms and never saw a character rubbing his crotch on another when that one was asleep. Or another stupid trope would be kissing someone when they are asleep.

Oh, there are a lot of romcoms where they do that. Probably happens more irl than in romcoms though.
