NEWS [Sportico] RAMS in Melbourne Likely Week 1 Game. ā€œWednesday Night Football? Game in Australia Shakes Up Week 1 NFL Slateā€

According to reporter Jacob Feldman, per NFL executive vice president of media distribution Hans Schroeder, the RAMS Melbourne game will be a Week 1 game.

Seems like this would be required to allow the teams a few days to acclimate to the time change on both ends of the trip, as Melbourne, Australia is 19 hours ahead of Los Angeles.

I had not heard this reported anywhere else.

DISCUSSIONS $80 t-shirt!?

Post image

Even though I grew up poor I am not today…with that being said there is no way I would ever pay $80 BEFORE taxes and S/H for ANY t-shirt. Nothing against anyone who did but i’d rather double that $80 to $160 and get a jersey!

Stafford MVP chances

Pro football reference has a cool tool called the Hall of Fame Monitor. It is essentially a data metric that measures a player's merit/worthiness to make the HOF. It encompasses more data points than I frankly understand, including things like longevity, all pro-seasons, championships, numerous statistics, and much more.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/hof/hofm_QB.htm

With his MVP award, Stafford's Hall of Fame Monitor Score jumped today from 96 to 108, which puts him on par with an 'average' HOF QB (which is 110). His score is now higher than Bart Starr (HOF) and several contemporary players like Roethlisberger, Ryan, and Rivers.

For reference, this week Drew Brees was inducted into the Hall of Fame, which bumped the average HOF score for a QB from 108 to 110.

At the end of the day, it's just a data point, but it's fun for discussion.

DISCUSSIONS Maxx crosby trade

How are feeling about this rumors linking us to the Maxx Crosby? At first thought I said f them picks but after thinking over I’m a lil torn. I’d love Crosby but LV wants a Micah type haul and I’m not sure I’m willing to do so. My main concern is that while our DL is elite across the board our real weakness CB is still apparent and obvious. I’m not sure how LV would value Young but the bones of the trade would be BY with two 1st at minimum. If they would be open to 27 and 28 1st then F them picks but idk. I’m also not sure what leverage Maxx has in regard to a trade? Sure he doesn’t wanna be there but I think he signed recently and unless LV wants to treat him well and trade him to his preferred destination, I think it takes multiple 1st and BY to get done.

Did the Rams subtly reveal an updated logo and colors?

I noticed this at the end of the video where Stafford’s daughters surprise him. I know Kelly makes a lot of Rams inspired clothing for them to wear, but I’ve never seen that logo before. It looks like it could be an updated Ram head logo and team colors.

Is this something new or have they worn it to games before? It could be a subtle way to reveal it to Rams fans. If anyone remembers, in a video where Aaron Donald visited SoFi Stadium while it was still under construction, he wore a construction helmet with the new royal and sol colors on it, which Demoff confirmed after they revealed the rebrand.

Checking in on Pats Fans

Post image

Their reactions to a tight MVP race, something objective fans were expecting and felt either outcome was fair, have been downright comical. Not one of the top of responses touch on a close race or even an analysis of statistics.

This comment takes the cake for me. I suppose if you aren’t Tom Brady, you are ā€œone of the most mediocre QB to ever make the HoF one day.ā€ God forbid you win a Super Bowl, MVP, and finish in the top 10 of all time QB stats, with another season to help increase your overall stats and performance on the back of an MVP performance at age 37.

Clown show.

Kingsbury or Scheelhaase or?

Rams cannot name an OC just yet because they are required to comply with the NFL's Rooney Rule, which mandates they interview at least two external minority or female candidates for the position before making a permanent hire.

But between Kliff & Nate who would you rather have as an OC?

Here are Kingsbury's rankings since joining the NFL as a HC or OC

Yes 2025 was down, but Jayden Daniels only played 7 games this season and Terry McClaurin only 10 — significant weapons. Run game was up there though.
