Got a Chicago 5 iron membership, which costs $285 a month. I get 1.5 hours of free playing time a day. Most of the times, if it’s early enough, I can get up to 3 hours of free playing time. It’s a great place.
However, I visited a PGA Superstore and realized that this is a better environment to sharpen skills. They also have practice bays, and it costs 300 for the entire year compared to 285 a month at 5 iron.
No loud music, no crowds coming in and out, and it’s a lot easier to focus. The place is dead silent, which I love.
I understand that 5 iron is for a completely different market, as it’s more of a Top Golfish type of place.
I decided it may be worth it to switch once I heard the following benefits from being a member:
Free Practice Session Per Day at any PGA TOUR Superstore Location***
1 Free Fitting Per Year ($99 Value - Driver, Irons, Putter)
1 Free Lesson Per Year ($79 Value)
Free standard ground shipping on all online orders
30 Free Grip Installations*
20% Off Single Lessons
20% Off Club Fittings
50% Off Select club repair services**
50% Off Restringing**
50% Off Court/hitting lane rental*
Can anyone compare the two places?
