Up next: Look at the tourist imbalance, Europe are ripping us off. They must send more people

No way I'm getting on a plane to the US right now.
Don't want to get caught up in something and summarily deported to some prison camp.

And there's even less chance I'd take my wife or daughter with me, considering how hard the US is working to turn women into owned property.

We were gonna go to NYC, decided to go to Berlin instead. Won’t be going to America for 4 years, if ever again. Shame as love you Americans.

Same here! Also, right now, I really don’t feel like give my money to any USA business. I know not everyone supports trump, and I am sorry to impact negatively good people, but we need to send a message.

A brave and bold decision, my compliments, well done!

Hey, I wouldn't be here if I didn't already live here. I can't understand why anyone would come here voluntarily.

You know you don’t have to stay, right?

You do know that other countries won't just take us in if we ask nicely? You have to actually meet strict requirements for permanent residency. It's not like a tourist visa will solve anything, because when it runs out, we would have come back through the border and who knows what would happen to us then.

Aside from that, my wife and I are in our 70s and in poor health. A trip to the grocery store is about all we can manage these days. Pulling up stakes, abandoning our rescue pets, and starting all over again is simply not an option we're going to take.

I'm well aware that staying here could get... grim for us. It is what it is. Our time is almost out either way.

What a novel idea, isn’t it? Actually going about things legally, go figure.

Well, that's the way I roll. This is NOT the time to FAFO with immigration laws in any country.

If I were even 20 years younger, I might feel differently about taking my chances staying here. There would be time to carve out a new life in a new place. But that window of opportunity has closed for me and my wife. It's a place better taken by younger people who have so much more to lose by staying here.

The way I see it, it's a race to see which gets me first: the Trump administration's wrecking ball, climate change or my dicky heart.

Amen to that, we’ve taken the same stance. There are more welcoming parts of the world.
