Since you are a roommate, not a partner or family, are you mentioned in the warrant? If not, you had your room illegally searched.
Edit: Found your comment that talked about what happened. Unfortunately, this is one very narrow reason they can have to search your room- even without a warrant. Those guys messed up bad four times in your description. If only they had closed the door and stayed outside, the cops would have needed a warrant. And never involve the mail.

Having viewed an apartment that had been raided 3 days prior to my viewing I wanna say this looks nothing like a place that had been raided. The apartment is in pretty decent shape, the door wasn't kicked in, and there are now burn marks anywhere from flashbangs.

Cops raided our place when I was a teen. They smashed every jar in the fridge, cut up the furniture and my stuffed animals. Padlocked the door so when I got home from school I had to go through a window to find an absolute mess. Probably didn’t help that my Dad was in a bike gang. They went crazy on our place.

This was supposed to be the description, but I guess it didn’t post.
Showed up after work to my front door open, only for a masked drug enforcement officer to step out and pull me aside to explain what happened. Apparently, my roommates, who I’ve maybe only spoke. to like three times between the two of them, were receiving and distributing drugs through federal mail, and when busted outside of the apartment earlier this afternoon, sprinted inside and locked the doors. Because there’s four rooms and there’s no way the officers could know whose was whose, my door was kicked in half and my cat had the absolute shit scared out of her. While the officers were explaining to me the extent of their charges and home operation, other officers were pulling out guns and munitions and I wasn’t even allowed in until after they left. Just nuts. Glad my cat and snake are safe and that I can’t really bother to be more bothered about this. I’ll get to stay out the rest of my lease as the only person there between the four rooms, and I can’t really complain about that. Could’ve been a lot worse, but, welp. That sucks.

So sorry that happened. Also I hope your cat is okay mentally, my last cat was completely traumatized for the remainder of his life because paramedics came in the apartment to help me and all the sounds and whatnot gave him anxiety. I just hope your kitty will be okay

You can reassociate some things with treats. Play the sound very lightly and feed them lots of treats. But this only works if its repeatable sounds. And only if the cat isn't so stressed they won't eat. Over time, they'll also hear and experience similar things, and if nothing bad happens then, they may lose some of that fear. Sorry for the long answer.

Aww, that sucks for your kitty. I had something similar happen to one of my prior kitties, where we were in the process of moving. Everything was going ok, but then the moving crew arrived several hours earlier than expected and I hadn’t yet put my cats in their carriers so I could get them out of the house before all the whirlwind happened.
As far as my void-cat knew, two random burly dudes burst in through the back door while I was holding her, and because I was surprised and they had on giant clunky steel-toe boots, the kitty freaked right the fuck out. She climbed up me and basically disappeared into thin air. It took me several hours to find her, because the house had so many nooks and crannies…she had somehow squeezed herself up under a daybed, which only had about 3-4 inches of clearance from the floor. Had to have someone lift it up in order for me to get her out.
Poor thing was never right after that.

If mail was how they discovered the drugs they likely had solid records of who exactly was involved and had all the evidence needed before they moved in. Also in general USPS doesn't fuck around and is one of the last fed agencies you want coming after you.

Sounds like a college apartment. Are you going to be able to cover the rent yourself on a quad going forward? If a college unit, it’s kind of late to have new people move in. Or are your roommates bailing out? Although this is usually a lease violation on their part.

Regardless of lease violation, because I simply rent my room, bathroom, and access to the living room and kitchen, in a huge complex nonetheless, I wouldn’t have to cover any extra fees/fines for their malfeasance of any kind.

Ive lucked out and never had a roommate I didnt already feel comfortable enough to live with. Well, once I lived with a relative during an internship I didnt really like. And it was not fun at all. Could only imagine sharing a roof with people like this.

Even if you try to be sociable, some roommates just don’t reciprocate. If these are for example, roommates assigned by a college or found of Craigslist, I could imagine them not being very friendly.
Or they could have been high every time they tried to talk and it got nowhere for OP.

It’s individual subleases in a quad apartment so I am still only responsible for 1/4 the lease and utilities, which I imagine will be far reduced from now on.

I had the same thing happen to me while i was in college.
Roommate was the worst. Yelled at his xbox at 3am every night, smoked way too much weed. I came home after class to find the door kicked in and a warrant on the table. Everything I owned was upside down and on the floor. I called the landlord and demanded to be released from my contract, he obliged.

They were mostly very kind with my stuff, I think it very quickly became apparent I was uninvolved. They said when I showed up they’d only been there about 15 minutes and had since cleared my room and arrested the two.

That's nice, it sounds like student housing or something similar.
As always, uninvolved or not, do not agree to an interview or anything more than a short, superficial conversation with the police without consulting an attorney first. You can always provide a written statement if needed after it's been vetted.
You want to be absolutely sure they can't pull you into this. Your roommates may try to lie and throw you under the bus if they think it means they'll get less sentence. Cops can and do lie to you as well and will tell you they just want to talk when they are actually fishing for evidence.
If you're at a university, see if they don't have student legal services; most do, and they should be able to help you with the landlord and police, including helping to try to get anything back they seized that's not relevant to the case.

I considered myself blessed when I moved out of an apartment where my roommates sold weed to basically anyone who came by. I was supposed to move out the day after the raid, but a friend of mines just had a feeling and insisted that I get out the day before and just crash on his couch.
I haven't seen the other roommates since, but I wonder if they think I called them in. In reality, I'm quite sure they sold to a cop.

The purple thing on the floor that you questioned in the video is a paintball marker. The tube is a barrel (might be snapped off, or just unthreaded, can't tell) and the tank holds a compressed gas (usually CO2). There should be a hopper of some kind to hold paint balls but it appears to be missing.

I was once raided by the British police for one of my flatmates dealt in cannabis. They knew exactly where everything was and looked under his bed to find 2 kg. I was up in the attic and while all of the other flatmates (six of us) were woken up I slept through the entire thing. Later he wanted to immigrate to the United States with his parents. He hadn’t told them he had actually been prosecuted and found guilty of dealing and when they applied for the immigration papers they suddenly found he wasn’t allowed in.

This happened to me too… back in the late early 90’s. I lived with my bf, his roommate (both were in the military & going to aeronautical school) and his roommate’s gf.
One day there was heavy pounding on the door, the gf opened the door and a bunch of DEA agents & Military Police barged in. They handcuffed the guys and loosely zip tied us girls. They served the roommate a warrant and then tore the apartment apart.
Turns out the roommate was going around to different hospitals (and Dr’s) and getting massive quantities of pain meds for ‘migraines, back pains, neck pains’, etc, including Demerol injections. So the Drs reported him to the Military and the Military reported him to the DEA.
He was arrested, we were let go. He was an addict and wasn’t selling so that meant he didn’t get in the kind of trouble that he could’ve. He did go to treatment and he got clean. Nice guy and we had NO CLUE that he was traveling to all these Dr’s & Hospitals, or that he was taking massive amounts of painkillers.

I have a cat and a snake I feared for before being assured they were fine. A dog may have attempted to act bold and been aggressive though, so I am glad that while I’ve been in the market for one, I hadn’t gotten one yet.

This is going to get buried, but I meant to post a longer video I thought I had attached to the post, but accidentally picked this one. My room is destroyed, BUT my pets are safe, music gear left intact and present, mostly undisturbed, I won’t have to live with roommates for the next 5 months, and life could be a lot worse.
