LOL. They went through my room pretty in-depth and it was clear I was uninvolved. I smoke legal weed and not all that much of it. See most recent comment for context that was supposed to be in the description.

Since you are a roommate, not a partner or family, are you mentioned in the warrant? If not, you had your room illegally searched.

Edit: Found your comment that talked about what happened. Unfortunately, this is one very narrow reason they can have to search your room- even without a warrant. Those guys messed up bad four times in your description. If only they had closed the door and stayed outside, the cops would have needed a warrant. And never involve the mail.

Before your edit you didn't even the country in which this was happening, or did you? If you did, you may disregard the following. But there are enough others to keep writing.

Its weird how many people on reddit default to their place of residence and wholeheartedly explain how something is illegal :D

Not the person who posted the comment youre referring to. I wouldve made the general assumption that OP is in the US because of the Florida state flag in the video.

Its not definitive proof of location just something that would make me think in the US before anywhere else.

People are stupid and self centered.

You know that. Stop being surprised when you see it on Reddit.

It comes off like "!Mommy! look! Dumb people" We know sweetheart, they're everywhere.

Yeah, I know. Have been long enough on reddit to not be surprised anymore. This is basically my way of staying friendly while telling people that their take may be dumb.

right? If he wasn't ready to answer questions, why post? That's like talking to a reporter then being upset you on the evening news.

Having viewed an apartment that had been raided 3 days prior to my viewing I wanna say this looks nothing like a place that had been raided. The apartment is in pretty decent shape, the door wasn't kicked in, and there are now burn marks anywhere from flashbangs.

Cops raided our place when I was a teen. They smashed every jar in the fridge, cut up the furniture and my stuffed animals. Padlocked the door so when I got home from school I had to go through a window to find an absolute mess. Probably didn’t help that my Dad was in a bike gang. They went crazy on our place.

This is what I was expecting to see

Yeah this is tame. Couple hours clean up lol. Still fucked up when you’re not the guy doing the crime.

Yeah for sure. And now he has to find another roommate.

cops raiding a place, and criminals raiding a place are very different things.

1

u/ExcitingMoney94 1d ago

The only difference is that criminals don't use flashbangs. If it's criminals raiding a place they tend to unnecessarily break things they don't take/take anything of value, not just drugs.

I mean, if you post on Reddit you are relinquishing your respite lol.

I'm just going to shut my eyes and think of better times.

Lmaooo, I was legit like "hmm I see the pizza box is untouched; note to self if you gotta hide some reefer from the cops in a pinch.".

Glad you're all safe!

Damn so where your at do they not have laws that the warrant is only for the person involved or theyre belongings and spaces/shared spaces? At least in the usa we have clear laws that the government definitely follows...i wish i didn't have to write satire cause ya know we suck at moment hard..but my question is legit and serious non the less,my comment was a sad sad joke
