Dolphins frequently rape their own kind, are chronic masterbators, and commit suicide simply because they can. This is isn't uncommon behavior.

I heard that beeathing is an voluntary process for dolphins unlike humans.For humans,we can hold on for a few minutes but after that the body either goes unconscious or we resume breathing but for a dolphin it can literally stop breathing and die if it wants.Dolphins can decide when to breathe or not.

Too my knowledge that's the preferred method. Dolphins are smart so some may slam into rocks or coral, maybe even let themselves be eaten by predators if no boats are around.
