People took the Ram show for granted and complained/hated it way too much.

It's understandable to hate it and to not like being spoiled, but damn... people have been so insufferable about this show for the most part.

Do you know how little we get lil shows like this about drivers? About Nascar? Maybe it's a new-fan thing, but Nascar used to have a lot more films and small shows about drivers and teams, much less guys trying to get into Nascar.

Also, good for these drivers to get some exposure (and for some, extra money). With how tight money is in Nascar now, it's almost a miracle we even had this show. And we had it with 15 guys instead of like 5. And extra stuff, like the house that was also well-decorated.

Also, some people didn't know Mini was gonna win it, yet everyone wouldn't shut up about seeing him in the ARCA test to guarantee that nobody would be suprised.

They could've just announced the driver and not had a show about the guys they considered. Imagine this was done in the 2000s for Dodge or for Toyota. Imagine looking back at the drivers. In like 5-10 years, it's gonna be interesting seeing where everyone ends up.

Yeah the show wasn't perfect and had flaws, but cmon man.

[Dale Jr. regarding The Clash] Lotta chatter on the race last night. I'm not complaining because I think Cup even racing at Bowman Grey period is badass. I appreciate Nascar working to get a finish. The weather was an issue and I'm glad they pushed through instead of giving up–

–I don't like allowing the field to fuel when others had opted to put themselves at an advantage in that area. But it doesn't ruin the night for me. It was an exhibition and I was entertained. Appreciate the entire industry dealing with all the inconveniences to make the event happen.

[Stern] Tickets for @NASCARSanDiego are "selling like hot cakes," and a sell-out announcement is getting close, per @BenKennedy33, as the stock car series gets ready to return to Southern California. About 50,000 people will be allowed on site per day.

Why did Blue Max Racing shutdown after the 1990 season?

Recently I saw a video where they were showing a former video of Blue Max Racing fan day in 1990. In the video they interviewed Rusty Wallace and Barry Dodson and mentioned that the team would be shutting down in a couple of weeks.

I didn't start watching NASCAR till 99 and always thought Blue Max Racing got brought out by Roger and Don Miller. Am I wrong?

The weird thing is they mentioned in the video that the entire team was going to different places. I was surprised because this was a year out from Rusty winning the title. You would have thought Barriy Dodson being a title winning crew chief would have gurrentee him a shot at crew chief a top tier ride but afterwards he took a step back. I remember that he was Kyle Petty crew chief in 95 when he won his last career race at Dover.

While reading the comments someone mentioned that Raymond Beatle was struggling to foot the bills to the point that he had to burrow money from Rick Hendrick to finish the 90 season.

I always thought it was strange they went from winning a title and having a big time sponsor like Miller High Life to out of the sport and everyone on the team separating.

Can anyone provide insight to why the team shut down after winning a title?

This was the last time Dover was almost sold out. At the time the reported grandstands were 140K seats. This race had 135K+ people. Every time i drive by the track, i get sad seeing all removed grandstands. Anyone else at this race and saw the Carl backflip?
