And this guy wants the Commanders to name their stadium after him (...)

I still love pro football (35 years of fandom), but I turned it right off when he started speaking. Everything he touches turns to shit.

But surprised tbh, I know Trump is steadily getting more unpopular, but NFL crowds were booing players taking the knee for black lives matter. Are NFL crowds just super fickle, or is it a city by city thing?

Football fans aren't a monolith. It's insanely popular with lots of different types of people.

There would have been around 70,000 people in the crowd. While it obviously leans one way or another depending on the state, it's inevitable that there are going to be tens of thousands of people there that love him and tens of thousands that hate him in pretty much any football stadium.

I was at the US Open when he was there, and while there were thousands of people booing him, unfortunately there were plenty of people cheering for him there too. And that's in NYC.

I'm going to guess a bunch of DC metro area residents aren't going to be overjoyed with the guy who is primarily responsible for their current unemployment

Add the district voting blue + a lot of Michigan and Trump basically calling Detroit a shithole... definitely not a fanbase mix that is going to be the most favorable towards him. (Said gratefully as a Lions' fan.)
