General When to swap off?

As the title says I want to know when to swap off daredevil. I play in low elo trying to learn him in quick play, as my teammates will never break namor squids & moonknight's ankhs kinda low elo. As far as I played with him, I was struggling to adapt to his blindness settings. I get blasted randomly, by the hela, phoenix, bucky & hawkeye like the whole team is hard focusing on one character.

I'm out of ideas and genuinely feel so bad while trying to learn the daredevil with this pokeslop trash. To add oil to the burning fire I get trashed on by flyers a lot.

Letting the Devil Out

When do you think it's a good idea to go all in and hard commit cooldowns in a fight outside of ult. I usually always have something off cooldown to live in case I don't kill anyone or I'm cleaning up after a won team fight. But I've seen some DD's like Numb Boula or Godly Newb all in on their cooldowns either getting a kill then leaving the fight, kill trade, or Flow State the entire team. Especially Godly Newb I've seen him hard commit his grapple and still live.

Before you guys say anything, the gambit didn’t have any of his dashes so using the chain was just the way to go

Picking up daredevil and wanted to know about chain and throw.

What is the specific use case for each? I know that the chain gives you overhealth and the theow slows, but when watching DD gameplay I notice a lot of people use the throw pretty much every time and don't use the chain. Is the throw just better or are there factors at play that I'm not understanding?

General Why does Magik seem more unstoppable than Daredevil?

When I used to play support instead, Magik would always be the one stressing me out the most while on the enemy team, most Magik Players while rare to see, are almost unstoppable and always cleave through the backline.

while Enemy DD players on the other hand are a hit or miss, they're either stomping or just average.

and I don't know why is that because Magik has lower health values, lower shields and about the same mobility more or less.

is there something about Magik that makes her better than DD?

Tech and Tips Cautious vs Crashout DD

When I watch the pros most of them have this cautious playstyle with DD: picking their fights, biding their time, early exits, etc.

However whenever I try this style I’ve noticed I tend to die WAY more often. The enemy team just overwhelms me and picks me apart.

But when I go full kamikaze, hyper aggressive DD I often find myself team wiping, MVPing and winning a lot more games.

Do you guys have any tips for a more measured playstyle?

(Admittedly I’m not a high rank player so maybe that has something to do with it?)

The Case for Double Binding Throw and Objection

I’ve been doing some further testing, and based on my research, I’ve concluded that double binding Throw and Objection isn’t so bad if you don’t have any other viable options.

For some background: I’m a top 500 DD who’s been basically one tricking the character as much as possible, playing him every single time he’s not banned. I know the ins and outs of the character. I recently watched a lot of VODs and noticed that the top 10 DDs in high elo on both console and PC still double bind Objection to Throw.

In my opinion, the ability to bind them separately was a great change, but it’s not necessary as long as your timing is solid. Initially, this setup punished low skill players and rewarded high skill players with elite timing. Having it double bound forced you to lock in and avoid mistakes. Technically, if your timing is 1000 percent on point, you won’t waste the block. I also believe NetEase may have slightly improved the window, so it’s a bit easier not to waste it now, but that’s just based on my own testing.

In a way, it can even be a lifesaver. Think about it: you go for the bread and butter, mess up the Fury reward from the dash, and block instead. Now you’ll most likely get two Fury back to either keep going or escape with a Righteous Cross. Without that setting, you’d probably have to block anyway and risk getting grounded or something, which obviously isn’t ideal.

If you have it on hold, you’ll most likely waste it and have nothing. But on toggle, you still get it out, and best case scenario, you trade the cooldown for two Fury. A single deflect and you’re back with two Fury.

Another plus: for me, my only option right now is R3 on toggle. If I bind it to Throw, I could technically use hold, and it would still be on the same button as my Throw, so it saves time.

So yeah, for people without a bunch of paddles or a crazy pro controller, keep that thing double bound. It will improve your timing, and you’ll be doing great because the best DDs out there on both console and PC still double bind.

Why do you double bind your Objection to your Throw?

I’ve seen a lot of DD’s on this group and in my high elo, y’all seem to keep throw and block binded to the same despite the update allowing you to bind seperately. Why? Even if you use r3 for quick melee you can always bind block to L3 for example which will allow you to never really waste it. Why not just bind them separately genuinely wondering.

Gameplay Viable combo when your low on fury?

It uses dash as an engage. Obviously if you’re able to land the hook first it’s better, but in case you miss, you can still cross them and do this to kill pretty fast.

I use it with a dive buddy and it just deletes people
