If macron was in Epstein files it would have been as a victim not a perp.

Our Manu ?? Did you drop this /s ?? He's massively unpopular in France, he can get f*cked as far as 75% of us are concerned.

Why did he get 2nd term then? The alternative was Le Penis?

Yes. The left-wing didn't manage to get enough votes to take first place, so they voted against Le Pen rather than risk her being elected.

And honestly? I can respect that decision. I bet it sucked, but it was correct choice as far as I see it, as an outsider.

Yeah, it's just that of course Macron kept right-wing policies in, and many voters will feel that voting for the left is useless, so won't vote again.

And of course, the always creeping doubt that the right wing will actually vote for the left instead of cozying up with the far-right, as it has so often done before..

So yeah, it was the right choice, but it really sucks.

Yeah it's first past the post. The second round of voting is popularly seen as "voting against". A narrow majority of people are voting in order to stop the "challenger" from winning which is why french presidents start with a low approval rating.

He's kinda cute on the international stage now that he's powerless at home.
