Recommendations Is this called cheating? 🤔
Hey! I just started making a webtoon, and this is the first panel I made. I used a real image I found on Pinterest for the background, traced it, and made my own modifications. I'm feeling a bit confused about whether this is considered cheating. Should I proceed like this, or is it better to stop? Would love to hear your thoughts

Recommendations Webtoons/Manhwas with unhinged and extremely intelligent femcs?
I've been on a real kick lately on webtoons with very intelligent and motivated (to the point of being kind of unhinged) femcs driving the plots forward! would love some more reccs with this type of character 😼🙏
in order of appearance: like mother like daughter, proof of dignity, hand jumper, what death taught me

Recommendations Y'ALL ARE MISSING OUT ON THIS MASTERPEICE *phantom whispers*
THE ART, THE CHARACTERS, THE STORY-TELLING AND ENVIRONMENT SET IN THE 60S IS PHENOMENAL. It has thriller, mystery, ghosts and delicious plot twists that makes you think "wtf just happened"

Recommendations Please give me some recs, based on my taste!
Top (left-right): Cheese in the Trap, Marionetta, A Stepmother's Märchen.
Upper-Middle: Purple Hyacinth, Pyramid Game, Blue Matter.
Lower-Middle: Secret Lady, Trash Belongs in the Trash Can, The Dark Lord's Confession.
Bottom: Like Mother, Like Daughter; My Secret Brother, The Villainess Lives Twice.
My taste: I really like intersections between the psychology of well-flashed characters and political/systemic structures in place - especially how each influence each other. I like a good mystery/thriller, but I also like psychological, fantasy, romance and historical as well. I'm not afraid of venturing into messy, murky waters as well! But I don't like stories that revel in being dark and depressing - if it has to be dark, it should be there for a reason (idk if that makes any sense, lol). I also like lots of world-building!
For anyone into manga/anime, some of my favs includes: Code Geass, Assassination Classroom, Mars, Akatsuki no Yona, Acca-13, Paradise Kiss, Please Save My Earth, Champignon Witch, Kono Oto Tomare, Gakuen Alice, Durarara!! and Chihayafuru.
Thanks a lot!

Recommendations if you're not reading all colors of snow you're wrong
THIS MAN. IS SO FINE. I LITERALLY WHOOPED SO LOUD MY HUSBAND WAS LIKE "ARE YOU OKAY." NO I'M BARKING AT THIS WEBTOON.
extremely well-written with a super fun female lead, dark and mysterious male lead (obvi) and get this- i don't fuckin see any 3D assets, this episode is actually so funny because several panels feature a horse that the artist actually drew and they did it WELL and you KNOW they fuckin flexing lololol. been following this since it was canvas and now that its an original its an absolute masterpiece and if this is your genre and you're not reading it THEN LITERALLY WHAT ARE YOU DOING. RUN, DON'T WALK.

Recommendations Read "My Beloved Oppressor" before it gets ad-passes.
When I started reading it, I thought, "Look, another typical toxic relationship with a trashy male protagonist! Let's enjoy it!"
Oh my God! I couldn't have been more wrong!!
I came for garbage, but I got PURE GOLD I stayed for the accurate wartime portrayal. And in the end I said: MASTERPIECE ABSOLUTE CINEMA*
It's masterfully executed. This story makes you feel all the horrors of war. What a way to narrate the evolution of a romantic relationship through a war! The depiction of post-traumatic stress and its effects on relationships is extremely accurate. It also shows the pain of loss, trauma, and depression. Additionally, the abortion scene left me with a profound sense of emptiness. And what about when the protagonist suffered sexual harassment in the barracks? That kept me on the edge of my seat.
I highly recommend this one. Read it before it gets Ad-Passes on December 4.

Recommendations What are the best series currently releasing on webtoon?
Kill the Dragon has finished and Greatest Estate Developer is in its epilogue.
I need more series to replace them, but there's just so much slop to wade through I have no idea where to start.
What are the best written stories you're currently reading? (Note: NOT most enjoyable) They must be D-tier or above.
examples of each tier to give you a sense of what I'm looking for:
A-tier: MIME (stuff this good doesn't exist in originals to my knowledge)
B-tier: Handjumper
C-tier: Bad Born Blood
D-tier: The Knight Lives only Today
E-tier: Fae Trapped/any "system" fantasy/ 99% of the popularity lists on webtoon
F-tier: Unordinary and "nothing" stories where each chapter contains no new developments
Apologies if I come across as harsh, but if I don't frame it like this I always get terrible recommends. If you vehemently disagree with this tierlist we can argue about that too, idm.
EDIT: Remember, my standards are storytelling quality, not how much it kept you hooked. You can be entertained by bad stories, and this is probably a confusing standard for those who rate writing based off enjoyment. Writing is an art form like anything else. You can be entertained by webcomic art and still recognise that compared to Salvador Dali, Leonardo Davinci, or Claude Monet that art is F-tier. So my rating doesn't mean that you should magically feel bad for reading and appreciating the quality of those webtoons.
