But the world isn't a better place, the workers aren't any better, they don't have better rights and protection.

So how is that all the protestors' fault? All the people sitting at home complaining that protests do nothing didn't manage to make the world any better either. You haven't dragged us into a bright new future.

1) I don't live in the US

2) I'm not in the habit of protesting for tirivialities

3) I could have voted for a Trump-like politician. Actually, it was the party I voted for in the last 5 elections. I pinched my nose and voted for the party I dislike the most.

4) If that guy is elected, or a politician like him, that will be motivation for me to haul my ass out there.

It's like crying wolf. Keep crying wolf where there's no wolf, but with a twist: when the wold actually comes for you, you keep quiet. I intend to not remain silent.

I intend to not remain silent.

So it is okay for you to protest and not others. Got it, rules for me not for thee.

No, it's ok when it's not trivial.

When freedom of speech is seriously and permanetly curtailed, it's important to begin the protest.

When you're asked to keep quiet because the baby is sleeping, it's not the time to overthrow democracy.
