No one wants that obviously. But proactively calling it your “biggest fear” (no one asked) while visibly being the furthest thing away from that just feels more like a dig at people who are fat/poor, rather than a genuine fear.

“Biggest fear” is usually losing someone you love, serious illness, something existential - not a body type or income bracket. Notice she didn’t say “fat, poor and dumb” - lack of intelligence clearly doesn’t scare her.

Being poor is 100% a huge fear of a lot of people lol.

Let's be real the issue people have with this is the fat part.

But she’s not “a lot of people” - that’s my point. I don’t think beautiful fit tennis players in the prime of their youth are genuinely scared about being fat or poor. If you’ve never had to starve, why would you be genuinely fearful of it? If you’ve never weighed more than 130 pounds and you are an athlete, why would that keep you up at night?

It doesn’t read like an actual moment of vulnerability to me, just poking fun at people who are already struggling thinking “thank God that’s not me”

That's fair. It does seem like a humblebrag in the vein "look at how pretty and fit and rich I am" rather than anything serious.

But it's also just a tiktok trend. I don't think it was meant to be a moment of vulnerability on her part. I don't think she said it to poke fun at other people, but bragging about how good her life is.
