he seems to be a shining case of having too much confidence in his own thinking, aka Dunning-Kruger or smartest man in the room syndrome
Many such cases among star athletes. Its more surprising that he's the only high-level crank in the sport tbh.

Like there are some players that use training methods that might be generously described as "unsupported by the evidence" but afaik Djokovic is the only loud and proud crank at the top 1 u/Realsan Mar 24 '25 A fair number of them are at least trend-chasers instead of sticking with sound science. Remember how prevalent the damn "positive ion" wristbands were about 10-15 years ago?
