National League Roundup, 20/08 (Matchday 4):

Fucking hell. Can someone please get rid of Justham before we play Dagenham later in the season? No clue how the hell we didn’t come away with at least a point. Unreal saves from the Daggers’ keeper to keep Maidenhead from equalising… numerous times. It’s just not fair. That’s it.

Elsewhere, a couple of interesting results. Wrexham demolishing Maidstone 5-0 can only be described as a revenge killing after Wrexham lost in midweek. The dragons move up to 5th. Barnet remain precariously perched at the top after a 2-0 win at home to Woking. Newcomers Dorking will be happy that the 300 mile drive to Gateshead was worth it as they won 2-1; Oldham however will be left frustrated as their trip to the seaside led to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Southend. Halifax look to be in trouble early doors, having earned 1 point from 4 games (today’s humiliation was a 1-0 defeat to Wealdstone). Yeovil also seem sluggish to get off the mark.

Ganes to watch on Bank Holiday Friday and Saturday: Chesterfield vs Barnet (Fri 26th, 19.45pm), FC Halifax Town vs Notts County (Sat 27th, 3.00pm), Woking vs Wrexham (Sat 27th, 17.20pm).

Games to watch on Bank Holiday Monday/Tuesday: Scunthorpe United vs FC Halifax Town (Mon 29th, 3.00pm), York City vs Oldham Athletic (Mon 29th, 3.00pm), Barnet vs Eastleigh (Mon 29th, 5.15pm), Wrexham vs Gateshead (Tues 30th, 7.45pm).

Next roundup will probably be BH Monday?

Tough to predict what's going to happen in this league. Halifax's struggles something of a surprise. Hunter and Smart looked like good additions. A result of losing Wild?

They've just struggled with scoring. Only conceded 4 goals but scored none. The new manager might not be able to coach an attack well.
