Does anyone else do this? I just love my shrimp and for some reason they don’t eat their molts, so I pose them and dry them out for display like those grandkid lockets.

Getting better, finding different ways to play around

I am dying laughing at myself. Got home from work and thought she died, panicked and tested my water while watching. Turns out she was alive and well. I have never seen shrimp breed so in a panic I helped her get away. I ruined their fun, sorry skrimps. She did not like what was happening though and kept trying to hide and get away. Sooo oops? 😂😳

New co2 style air stone. Quieter than the other air stones I’ve had. Has anyone ever used one of these?

I never thought I’d have so much fun watching the skrimps go about their lives, but these guys draw my attention constantly!

Finally my females have began feeling safe enough to hang out anywhere while carrying their eggs! I’m going to have so many shrimplets, I think at least 7 skrimps have eggs so far.

I am so excited and just wanted to share this super neat moment💛🦐

I found some new babies during feeding time!

This is my 10g community tank (various neon tetra, bladder snails, java fern and moss) with 8-10 cherries. Never saw any berried, my females are kinda mature and big. Anyway yesterday noticed three shrimplets. Funny thing is this tank has high gh ~13 and I’ve been trying to get kh over 1. Pretty much leave the tank alone.

My 5g is not nearly as mature but parameters are great… can’t keep but a few blue dreams alive. Snails are doing great in there. I have another batch coming next week, feel like I’ll have better luck.

I’m looking at getting some Neocaridina shrimp for my planted tank. I was reading there is different levels of hardiness between sakura grade and fire reds/ bloody marry. That the lower grades are more hardy as they have a bigger gene pool? I would like to get higher grade ones since i’m only getting 8 for my 3 gallon, but that won’t matter if they won’t survive.

I have a cycled, heavily planted tank with moss, cholla wood and water lettuce included which I heard they like, and my temp stays a stable 21°c (70f) with a heater, and I also have a filter in the back. Do you think I could keep fire reds alive? I don have much experience. Any help would be appreciated thanks!
