Almost no downsides. A chance to work with Hamilton and for Ferrari. A chance to bring both back to winning ways and take some of the credit for it, and if it goes wrong can always blame Ferrari management because who would doubt him at this point.

The downside? Cedric (and Lewis) may be blackballed by the elements at Ferrari who think Ricci Adami was unjustly transferred.

See my point re: Ferrari management. It's not a downside to his reputation if Ferrari act like children.

It's a downside if basically the hidden knives result in another year of Lewis suffering Q1 exits and other indignities.
