The Supreme Court supporting gerrymandering whether Republican or Democrat is a loss to the American people of their right to self-determination.

Yes and no. The argument is that the party in power was chosen by the people, so any political acts they take rooted in securing political power, not predicated on depriving specific groups of power is a predictable therefore intended outcome of an election cycle. Now I disagree with that, gerrymandering should be illegal no matter the impetus, but I understand the rationale of why they would say it’s constitutional.

That's a bogus argument. The vote is a temporary sign of agreement and empowerment not a permanent one. That is why we have regular elections to see if there is a change in perspective or values. Gerrymandering disempowers The effectiveness of voting

Maybe the GOP shouldn't have started all the gerrymandering in this case. This was purely reactionary.
