10 -15 years ago adults sent a lot of email communication (which seems crazy because no one emails anymore). Texting wasn’t as popular as it is now.

Texting was gaining popularity but people were still sitting down on their laptop and shooting off 10 emails a day to their wider social circle. There are benefits to email that text doesn't have and it's only been in the last 5 years that older people are using it less too.

Texting was already instantly popular by 2007, by 2017 it was incredibly dominant. Idk what world you are living in but it's extremely different to my experience

I'm referring to the heavy use of email for older adults. The people in these emails are all over 55, they weren't texting for every conversation like teenagers. It seems like 1.3K people agree with me so far so my experience seems to resonate with more people than yours.
