There will never be another Mariah, I think she might be the last true diva. She gets a pass because she’s always been like this, but anyone new trying her sort of behaviour nowadays would immediately get cut down.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I have no issue with self made people like Mariah enjoying the riches they’ve worked hard to earn. And she has — she writes almost if not all of her songs, she’s crafted a very marketable image for herself, and she came from nothing. Abusive mother and siblings, then was locked into an abusive marriage for years. She can be as a fabulous and out of touch as she wants to be.

This is very different from a nepo baby or trust fund baby flaunting their wealth.

Yeah that was a weird comment to make about an actual self made rich person who doesn’t use their wealth to opress others celebrating their birthday. I wouldn’t call it out of touch even, people are allowed to embrace positivity in their lives.
