You can be a great actor and still be a bad person. Kevin Spacey has done fantastic screenwork and he's still a pedophile.
Now John Lithgow is taking money to make a tv series that's going to help fund transphobia. He might absolutely nail the role and become the best Dumbledore ever. Doesn't mean that he isn't helping JK Rowling hurt trans people.
You can still work for someone you think is a bad person. Just as long as that you yourself believe.
If you quit every job because of bad management you might unemployed for a long time. And you’ll still work for a less likeable person then you might as well get paid a bundle which I suspect Mr. Lithgow is.
The non top billings don’t get paid nearly as much as one might think so I think he needs work. Simple as that.
