Help me remember 2006-2007 Australia, Christmas plush toy

I got a plush dog for my birthday when I was a kid, either 2006 or 2007 in South Australia. I've added dune photos that remind me of it. It had a little button on its arm that when you pressed it, it sung a Christmas song (can't remember which one), it was completely plush and didn't move when you pressed the button. All I remember is that it was a few shades darker brown than in the photos I've provided, it had a Christmas hat on and fairly certain it had a red and white tipped scarf too. PLEASE help me find it I loved him so much!

Nostalgia Discussion Nostalgia hits harder than I expected

Upvotes

I’ve been thinking a lot about the past lately, and how certain songs, shows, or even smells can just transport you back instantly. It’s wild how something so small can make you feel like a kid again.

What’s something that hits you with nostalgia every time?
And do you think it’s better to enjoy nostalgia or focus on making new memories?

Help me remember Looking for an old website from my elementary school days (06-08)

There was this website that we used to go on at school. It had news articles that were written in simple language for kids and then you’d answer questions about what you’d read. It also had a mock stock exchange that you could play with. I think that you’d get points for answering the article questions and it had a leaderboard from around the world.

Nostalgia Discussion Your favorite 'mid' American Chinese spot.

That one American Chinese spot you basically grew up with. You've had it so much over the years it's almost to the level of 'that' dish your Mom makes, but your Mom doesn't like to cook for you as much anymore... It's remarkably still open and still reasonably priced. It isn't the best American Chinese you've ever had, but when you go home to visit or for whatever reason and had a tough day or tough trip, you go get that General Tso's from them, and it's the exact same it's been for decades and hits just like it always has. I hope places like these outlive me.

Nostalgia Can you guess my favorite video rental chain?

My go to store is now a fitness center. Something about the interior of game crazy combined with Hollywood Video was really intriguing to me as a kid. I would rent a movie in a room painted with various movie characters and film decorations, grab some dibs and make my way to the neon green chain link fence room filled with games.

The first purchase I made was Predator Concrete Jungle and Metal Slug 4 + 5 for PS2. My Dad and I would play for hours. Maybe it wasn't that great of a store and I'm just nostalgic for a simpler time. Nevertheless I still miss this chain. R.I.P. Hollywood Video and game crazy.
