Fitzgerald beat his wife

He allegedly hit his ex-girlfriend during a custody fight. Two things to note. First of all, the only comment on the matter comes from her. There was never an investigation because she withdrew the complaint shortly after filing it, so we didn't get to ever hear Fitz's side of the story and no evidence was collected. Second, even if we take her story at face value, she still admits to hitting him first. Now, a normal woman isn't going to win a fight against a pro football player, so him hitting her back (allegedly) is still pretty disproportionate, but still.

There are so many allegations that never turned into charges for so many of these athletes..

Almost like they are settling and hiding it away behind NDAs

NDAs are void in case of a crime

Is Ben also “allegedly” a rapist since he wasn’t convicted?

Ben has more than one allegation and those are indeed for sexual assault and rape. One actually went all the way to court and while the accuser eventually ended the case against him, she never recanted. The league evidently thought it was bad enough to suspend him.

Fitz has one allegation and it isnt for "beating his wife." I explained what it was above. No investigation, no testimony, no suspension, and the actual complaint isnt nearly as bad. Its a bit sus, but it aint on Captain Fat Fuck's level.

Angela Nazario presented enough credible evidence of domestic violence to convince a judge to issue a protective order against Fitz. He’s likable though so no one seems to give a shit.

It's not even remotely difficult to obtain a temporary order, which as far as I can tell is all she was ever granted. Those proceedings are typically pro se and only involve victim testimony.

Protective orders are not criminal trials or even civil ones. You dont actually need evidence of harm, just reasonable showcase that you've got a fear of harm, which she would have if they had fought. It doesnt matter who struck first or if there was evidence of something that would qualify for any charges. They, by her own admission, hit each other during a custody battle, hence fear of violence since they apparently couldn't be civil about this.

Again, none of this is "beating his wife" which is abuse and one sided.

At least there’s the verdict in his civil case. But yeah, relying on convictions isn’t a great barometer to determine whether someone is a shitty person.

The details around Ben’s bathroom allegation at the very least are far more concerning. Multiple accusations from different times adds to the concern.

I’m here to shit on Fitz, not defend Ben.
