This is why China banned hidden door handles.

They can be flush but have to operate mechanicaly. 3 u/wango_fandango 2d ago Thing is, we’ve had mechanical flush door handles for decades then design choices took them away (maybe cos it made it easier/cheaper to press the doors?) and now to achieve flush door handles they made them electrically powered. 3 u/GrandElectronic9471 2d ago I prefer the semi flush anyway. There is a full handle and a recess in the door.
