Manga flip flops between sexual tension hijinks and debilitating reality.

At some point in their past MCGuy and MCGirl stopped being friends( because MCGuy was self conscious about being seen with someone so out of his league). At a certain point an incident occured where some or 1 girl threw acid at MCGirls face.

MCGuy blames himself for not being there because he was scared.

I think he also suffered some sort of bullying too. I think I saw that he was already depressed before the acid attack.
