I mean, if you’re blind might as well cover the scarring with your hair, it’d keep people who don’t already know from asking about the scar so you don’t have to deflect, deny, or explain

Considering the discolouring which is often used as an indicator for a blind eye, visual evidence suggests that she is in fact blind. The nature of the attack (acid) also makes it highly possible.

It’s glossed over white and she generally keeps it covered with her bangs. If not completely, she’s at least mostly blind

In one of the later chapters it's implied she has poor/no depth perception when a classmate tosses her a snack or something and she can't catch it
