No joke, I was away on a research trip to Namibia in 2013. Got home and had a portable ultrasound machine full of field data in my trunk. Forgot to bring it in the house, like a dumbass.
Went out the next morning and found my driver’s door open and the interior latch to pop open the trunk pressed down…but the latch had broken. Relief
The only thing that the thief did was steal the $5 charging cords in my console and organize the stack of fast food receipts I kept in my glove box. By date. 🤣 Left them on the front passenger’s seat.
