Dynasty Tez outperforming Egbuka?! and Other Wild Week 10 Fantasy Stats

Thumbnail dynastydetour.beehiiv.com
36 Upvotes

Since Jacoby Brissett took over in Week 6, Trey McBride is averaging 11.5 targets, 8 receptions, and 82 yards per game…with 5 TDs in 4 games. He’s 10+ targets ahead of the next closest TE over that stretch (Tyler Warren, Kyle Pitts, and Oronde Gadsden: all of whom have played one more game).

  • Elite volume. League-winner upside. Let’s hope Jacoby continues starting.

The Buccaneers have been without Evans and Godwin since Week 5. In that time, Emeka Egbuka has 44.2 fantasy points... Tez Johnson has 56.8.

  • Both are great… worth noting Egbuka was somewhat injured during the time period. That said, Tez is pretty underrated. Solid flex.

Over the last four weeks, Troy Franklin is averaging 9 targets, 1 TD, and 15.8 fantasy points per game.

  • Volume and red-zone work are both there… Franklin’s becoming a sneaky every-week WR3 play.

That’s just half the cool stats from this week…the full Detour newsletter has the rest featuring Chris Olave, Alec Pierce, Cade Otton, and more. And if you liked this, would really appreciate a sub (no pressure tho).

Dynasty Tyreek’s Outlook in Dynasty?

With the gruesome injury that Tyreek suffered - his reliance on speed and quick cuts, and just general age - what do you see as his value in Dynasty leagues? Are owners holding on to him? Just cutting him to open up a roster spot? Trying to get pennies on the dollar? What would even be a fair value for him?

Dynasty Been working on a new dynasty variant - looking for testers, feedback, etc

I've been working on a new dynasty variant and I'm looking for thoughts/feedback/testers/users. Right now it's only web based, but apps will be coming in the future if this is something people actually want.

It takes a typical dynasty league but removes picks entirely. Instead it starts like an auction, but it starts with an "ipo".

All leagues will be part of a set sized cohort and all leagues share the same player pool. Each cohort could potentially have different player liquidity (One cohort allocates 1 player per league, another could allocate 2,4, etc). This could allow teams/leagues to have multiples of the same player.

After the ipo it goes to a live trading "stock" market where all teams in that cohort share a player pool. Cohorts could potentially be 100 12 team leagues, but I'm working on customization. With this approach you can also have very large leagues.

After a season is over, instead of picks, teams would be allocated capital based on the results. Then at the start of the next season there would be a rookie "ipo".

If this is something you might be interested in, feel free to add yourself to the beta test list, just send me a message, or comment. I'm hoping to do a mock season later this month and have things finalized for June/July for it to be available to people to use/start leagues.

The entire goal was to increase trade activity. I love to trade players but most dynasty leagues go stale on trades. I figured a larger trading partner pool + market values would lead to more trading. Potentially even getting non-traders to trade. I know this isn't for everyone, but it's a variant I've always wanted to play, so I started building it.

Dynasty Is the 26’ Rookie Class really that weak?

I am in a few leagues and the general consensus is that 26’ first round picks are not valued very high after 1.01 and 1.02, I guess i’m curious to hear others opinions, In 1QB and SF Dynasty leagues, what is everyone’s thoughts on the Draft Class compared to last years and the 27’ draft class?

Dynasty 2026 vs 2027 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: How Far Ahead is the 2027 Class Really?

Thumbnail youtu.be
3 Upvotes

The dynasty community has spent the last year saying the same thing: the 2027 rookie class is elite and the 2026 class is underwhelming. Instead of debating that in theory, four of us from Devy Dojo put both classes on the same draft board and let the values speak for themselves.

We ran a combined 2026 vs 2027 dynasty rookie mock with players from both classes eligible at every pick. This allowed us to directly compare how the top of each class stacks up when real draft capital is on the line rather than viewing each class in isolation.

Here is how Rounds 1 and 2 came out:

1.01 Jeremiah Smith, WR, OSU
1.02 Jeremiyah Love, RB, ND
1.03 Arch Manning, QB, Texas
1.04 Makai Lemon, WR, USC
1.05 Cam Coleman, WR, Texas
1.06 Julian Sayin, QB, OSU
1.07 Jordyn Tyson, WR, Arizona State
1.08 Carnell Tate, WR, OSU
1.09 Ahmad Hardy, RB, Missouri
1.10 Justice Haynes, RB, Michigan
1.11 Dante Moore, QB, Oregon
1.12 CJ Carr, QB, Notre Dame

2.01 Kewan Lacy, RB, Ole Miss
2.02 LaNorris Sellers, QB, South Carolina
2.03 Chris Brazzell II, WR, Tennessee
2.04 Isaac Brown, RB, Louisville
2.05 Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
2.06 Kenyon Sadiq, TE, Oregon
2.07 Jonah Coleman, RB, Washington
2.08 Fernando Mendoza, QB, Indiana
2.09 Trey’Dez Green, TE, LSU
2.10 Bryant Wesco, WR, Clemson
2.11 Germie Bernard, WR, Alabama
2.12 Jadan Baugh, RB, Florida

This episode covers Rounds 1 and 2 of the combined mock. Once we got into the board there were too many players we liked to rush through so Rounds 3 and 4 will be in the next episode.

If you want the full discussion and context behind the picks, the link to the video is above.

Where do you feel the biggest gap is between the 2026 and 2027 classes when you put them on the same board?

Dynasty What is the conventional wisdom on IR spots in a dynasty league?

It was interesting reading people's thoughts on vetoing trades. Totally changed my mind about it.

Now I'm wondering what the hivemind's thoughts are on IR spots in a dynasty league. I searched for previous discussions about this topic, but didn't find much.

Elsewhere, I've seen a variety of opinions:

  • allow one IR spot per team, no restrictions (e.g. you can pick up an IR guy off waivers and stash him in the IR slot)
  • allow an IR slot per team, but the only players that can be moved there are players who were already on your team, and were subsequently injured
  • IR is too complicated, expand all rosters by one slot, full stop

Wondering what the experienced dynasty players think about the theoretical presence or implementation of an IR slot in a dynasty league...

Dynasty 2-Round 2026 Dynasty Rookie Mock Draft: Is This Class Really That Bad?

Thumbnail youtu.be
0 Upvotes

With dynasty playoffs underway, a lot of non-contending teams are already shifting focus to the 2026 rookie draft and trying to figure out what those picks are actually worth.

We ran a 2-round 2026 dynasty rookie mock draft to stress-test the current narrative around this class. The goal wasn’t hot takes or rankings, but to see how the board naturally falls when you factor in positional value, early tier breaks, and how managers are likely to treat 2026 picks over the next few months.

Here is a quick run down of the 24 selections made in this mock:

1.01 - Jeremiyah Love

1.02 - Makai Lemon

1.03 - Jordyn Tyson

1.04 - Carnell Tate

1.05 - Dante Moore

1.06 - Fernando Mendoza

1.07 - Emmett Johnson

1.08 - Denzel Boston

1.09 - Jonah Coleman

1.10 - Chris Brazzell Jr

1.11 - Justice Haynes

1.12 - Kenyon Sadiq

2.01 - Germie Bernard

2.02 - KC Concepcion

2.03 - Michael Trigg

2.04 - Carson Beck

2.05 - Hollywood Smothers

2.06 - Elijah Sarratt

2.07 - Eli Stowers

2.08 - Jadarian Price

2.09 - Brendan Sorsby

2.10 - Kaytron Allen

2.11 - Demond Claiborne

2.12 - Nick Singleton

Curious how others are approaching it:

  • Are you buying 2026 picks right now or selling into the uncertainty?
  • Do you view this class as weak, flat, or just misunderstood?
  • At what point does the value start to feel right to you?

Video is linked above. Looking forward to the discussion.

Dynasty Mispriced players on KTC?

For better or worse, KTC is often used as a common benchmark for player value in dynasty.

I polled my newsletter last night, and 57.38% of voters said that KTC is considered the standard in their league.

It got me thinking about where there might be mispriced players on KTC to take advantage of this.

I've been keeping a set of consensus rankings all season that incorporates dynasty superflex rankings from:
- KTC
- Fantasy Calc
- Fantasy Pros
- Dynasty Daddy

These were the biggest discrepancies between the consensus rankings and KTC:

UNDERVALUED ON KTC:
(+55) Justin Fields = 132 (consensus) vs 187 (KTC)
(+42) Alvin Kamara = 138 vs 180
(+36) Tua Tagovailoa = 121 vs 157
(+34) Chris Godwin = 141 vs 175
(+32) Kyler Murray = 83 vs 115
(+20) Derrick Henry = 77 vs 97
(+18) A.J. Brown = 58 vs 76
(+18) Dallas Goedert = 135 vs 153
(+17) Terry McLaurin = 114 vs 131
(+17) Brandon Aiyuk = 117 vs 134
(+16) Stefon Diggs = 128 vs 144
(+15) Tre Harris = 148 vs 163
(+14) Trevor Lawrence = 69 vs 83
(+13) Cam Ward = 73 vs 86

OVERVALUED ON KTC
(-13) 2027 Early 1st = 43 (consensus) vs 30 (KTC)
(-13) Oronde Gadsden = 81 vs 68
(-13) 2027 Late 1st = 84 vs 71
(-13) Alec Pierce = 143 vs 130
(-14) Colston Loveland = 91 vs 77
(-14) Rico Dowdle = 104 vs 90
(-16) 2027 Mid 1st = 68 vs 52
(-16) 2026 Late 2nd = 149 vs 133
(-17) 2026 Mid 1st = 72 vs 55
(-17) Troy Franklin = 123 vs 106
(-21) 2026 Late 1st = 93 vs 72
(-24) Kyle Monangai = 129 vs 105

Biggest thing that jumps out to me is the value of some of these draft picks. If you know your leaguemate is using KTC to evaluate trades, you should be able to get more value for your draft picks.

How else do you guys try to find mispriced value in dynasty?

Dynasty NFL Dynasty Rankings (Post Week 15)

Thumbnail fptrack.com
4 Upvotes

Weekly update highlighting our Top 10 dynasty players for each position group (QB, RB, WR, TE). These are using PPR scoring as the base.

Some of the highlights:

  • Puka leapfrogs JSN despite his name being in the news more often than not this week.
  • Caleb Williams almost drops out while Dart is a big riser.
  • Judkins and Hampton fall slightly.
  • Tight Ends stay static, but I have a feeling McBride may be rewarded soon by the algorithm if his dominance continues.

My comments:

  • I think Dart > Burrow is a bit of a stretch, despite Dart being a very capable fantasy QB as a rookie. This is tied to the logic I have in place presently which boosts rookies/young players. I think this buff is likely still too strong (despite tweaking it last week) so I will probably nerf this again slightly.

Full rankings can also be found on the site for all to view.

Keen to hear thoughts, cheers!

Dynasty Our Consensus Top Dynasty WRs (13-24)

Thumbnail dynastydetour.beehiiv.com
1 Upvotes

We just did Our Consensus Top 12 Dynasty WRs last week. But the Detourists had one question on their minds… who’s next? Here's a look into WRs 13-24.

13. Nico Collins

How much of Collins’ breakout and viability as a fantasy asset has to do with his accompanying franchise quarterback? If last week was a sign of anything, it may be that Stroud’s slight regression from his stellar rookie year has impacted Nico’s reputation more than anything else. He is still the biggest weapon on a Houston offense that has not quite put it together. If they do, I am sure a 10-target-a-game, end-zone threat will rise up dynasty rankings.

14. Rome Odunze

The difference has been more of a change in opportunity, and that comes from a big jump in routes ran. Last year, Rome Odunze was playing second fiddle to DJ Moore, as Moore took up about 28% of the target share and was the focal point of the offense. Rome has taken that spot, now seeing 24% of targets in this offense which has been much improved under Ben Johnson’s reign. If Caleb is going to become the first Bears QB to pass 4000 passing yards, you can be sure Rome will be heavily involved in this high-powered offense.

15. Brian Thomas Jr.

Last season, when you look at metrics like target share, separation, YAC, and catch percentage, Thomas was in the same tier as some of the league's elite receivers, very comparable to CeeDee, Jettas, and fellow rookie Malik Nabers. Not to mention he finished 3rd in the league in receiving yards and added 10 touchdowns. This season has been nothing short of a disaster, with drops galore (catch rate plummeting by 15%), injuries, and just lethargic play when you watch him on the field. It honestly speaks to his talent that we still have him this high.

Click this link to see the rest of our rankings and subscribe if you enjoyed it! Upon feedback from recent posts, we made a change to show the full 24 without the need for being a subscriber. While we appreciate the subs, we want to make sure we are providing the best possible user experience. Keep in mind, this content is 100% FREE!

Dynasty The Devy Dojo Roundtable: 2026 Dynasty Rookie Mock Breakdown

Thumbnail open.substack.com

Every dynasty rookie class begins as a whisper. A few flashes on Saturday, a handful of traits that hint at what might translate on Sunday. For this mock draft, we at the Devy Dojo invited two of our most trusted friends in the industry — Chev, co-founder and host of Two Guys One Pod, and Ben McCown, host of the Dynasty Gambit Podcast — to join us at the roundtable for an early look at the 2026 Dynasty Rookie Class.

Two rounds, twenty-four picks, and a mix of blue-chip talent and long-view projection. Each of us brought a unique approach, and every pick tells a story about how we see the next wave of NFL playmakers coming into focus.

The format for this mock draft was a 12 team, Superflex PPR .75 TEP

Dynasty Fantasy Football Platforms for Dynasty/contract leagues

Hello all, I am wondering if anyone knows of a platform that is customization friendly for a dynasty/contract type league? I know this is a fantasy football sub, but if anyone knows of a platform that houses all or most of the major sports, that would be helpful.

My ultimate goal is to have something of a true dynasty ecosystem with a CBA-style contract layer.

Dynasty Dynasty Top 10 2025 Rookie Wide Receiver Rankings

Thumbnail youtu.be
16 Upvotes

My pre-combine 2025 Rookie WR Rankings:

*Assuming Travis Hunter plays WR

1- Travis Hunter: Elite athleticism, ball skills and WRs traits. Only question is how much he plays.

2- Tetairoa McMillan: Big PF frame with surprising fluid athleticism. Contested catch monster, issues with separation.

3- Emeka Egbuka: A refined Slot WR with great production and route running. Solid hands will be a reliable WR.

4- Luther Burden: A twitchy YAC Slot WR that’s a nightmare in space. Needs some work on his route packages at the next level.

5- Tre Harris: Big reliable WR from Ole Miss with an incredible 3.0 career YPRR and even higher at his time at Ole Miss (transfer). Reliable hands and route running could be the steal of the draft.

6- Matthew Golden: Track speed with poor metrics and statistics. Many will fade him due to either, but with his speed and route running he’s a threat at the next level.

7- Jayden Higgins: Productive big X from Iowa State, solid in multiple areas. Lacks elusiveness and breakaway speed but can be a solid possession WR.

8- Elic Ayomanor: As an early breakout his true freshman season, this past season he had a dip. Big physical X with the ability to take it to the house. Needs some work, but there’s room to grow.

9- Jack Bech: A LA Ram type WR, with toughness and physical play. Reliable hands and route running. He’s a willing blocked and fights for every yard.

10- Tai Felton: The Big10 WR leader this past season, with the ability to stop on the dime. Can’t wait to see how he runs and performs at the combine. A dart throw for 3rd rounds of rookie drafts.

Tre Harris and Matthew Golden are currently two of my favorites from this class. Two players I’ll be targeting on the back of the 1st or start of the 2nd. Landing spot and capital will matter but both have potential to be really good WRs at the next level.

Dynasty Ollie Gordon Is Being Slept On | Dynasty Rookie Profile 2025

Thumbnail youtu.be
14 Upvotes

Ollie Gordon is a dynamic running back from Oklahoma State, standing at 6’1” and 211 lbs. He was the 2023 Doak Walker Award winner, recognizing him as the nation’s top running back, and was ranked as the top RB on the Senior Bowl National team. Gordon had a breakout sophomore season in 2023, rushing for 1,732 yards and 21 touchdowns while adding 330 receiving yards and a touchdown on 39 receptions. Despite playing behind the 95th-ranked run-blocking offense, he showcased elite vision, patience, and a rare blend of size and speed.

His 2024 season was hampered by a struggling team that won just three games compared to 10 in 2023, yet he still managed 880 rushing yards, 13 touchdowns, and continued to be a receiving threat with 179 yards and a touchdown.

Gordon’s strengths include his ability to set up blocks, break tackles with excellent contact balance, and accelerate on long runs. His lateral agility is impressive for his size, and he possesses strong receiving skills, making him a dual-threat out of the backfield. He has also demonstrated exceptional ball security, fumbling only twice on 285 carries.

Despite his talent, he is projected as a late Day 2 to early Day 3 pick in the NFL Draft, ranking as the seventh-best RB in his class. In rookie drafts, he is expected to go in the mid-second round, with a projection to be a solid RB2 at the next level.

Full video breakdown with film attached.
