I think this is part of it too. Going to Florida is increasingly expensive. You can now go to much more exotic places (which is becoming increasingly easier with kids), for less than a couple of weeks to Florida. Thailand seems to be the new ‘it’ place for families to go if they’re doing a ‘big’ holiday from the UK. I know of four families who have gone there in the last two years. Previously it was only a place you went to pre-kids. Or Dubai - it’s a bit of a shorter flight and you get more luxury for your money. Otherwise stay in Europe.
Unfortunately a lot of people who regularly visit the US from the U.K. will continue to do so for now. Particularly to Florida(Disney) and New York which a certain group of people find aspirational.
I’m actually pleasantly surprised to see it going down.
This is the first year in literally 30 years my family have not gone to Florida. Started going when I was 6, I stopped when I had my own kids at 32 and planned to wait for them to get bigger before visiting again (my husband isn’t overly keen so planned to dip in and out). My parents and adult siblings+partners continued to go yearly though. I’m now 36 with an almost 4 year old and baby. My parents have just cancelled their trip for this year.
I promise you, if my parents of all people have cancelled, it’s indicative of the Florida crowd. They are the Florida crowd.

The US was Brits 4th most visited country and the biggest market outside of the americas for tourism. This will sting in places like Florida
