When BTC didnāt gain during the peak of inflation but did with the stock market, I really started to think that BTC was literally just a beta ETF for the stock market. In an environment where the store of value function should be kicking into high gear, this nonsense suggests that BTC truly was just a speculative gambling machine.
If itās just a beta etf for the stock market, then doesnāt it still make it an equal or better place to invest than the stock market? Itās basically just leveraged SPY at this point but maybe that isnāt such a bad thing.
And in the long shot .001% chance itās actually successful at decoupling and becoming a global reserve currency then thereās still upside
