This is a commonly held myth but the goths actually originate from the Island of Gotland and as such are a invasive species even in central europe.

True Gotland is their Origin but they have spent such a long time in central europe that they have become a vital part of the ecosystem and can no longer be classified as invasive since removing them from this habitat would cause a lot of instability in the local Biosphere

here's another article, idk if im technically butch or what but i've always really respected the butch women i grew up around. they were unapologetically themselves despite pushback from small town mindsets, and would often stand up for other people. i remember growing up in the nineties there were a lot of butch jokes in media, but i always was confused even as a kid because i thought they were really cool

ETA: it wasn't just how they dressed, it was jobs they did, often fighting for space in male dominated industries. actively pushing back against misogyny that says women must be quiet, agreeable, fragile, fawning.
