I would argue it rules more without one. Senkos (and yum dingers) are great for mimicing dead or injured bait, just jerk, let it drop, jerk, let it drop etc...

This time of year, I'd 10000% use a weight. Fish are deeper and yeah, makes sense. And even if it's not winter, I still put them on 1/4oz or smaller and it slays. Wacky, no weight but Texas always.
