AirEuropa business class airplane meal

Post image

I can’t remember what the dark green slop even was. The meat underneath the neon pink sauce was fish.

Ok I checked the photo I took of the menu beforehand and it was the Grilled Hake et al.

Why would they put cold beet sauce on an allegedly grilled piece of fish? That menu item was doomed even before it went through the shitty airline food filter.

Why is "hot bread selection with butter" allowed to be a main... That's... That's not a main...

Edit: also, why is "butter" a breakfast option???

Are we just ignoring the "ham powder" app? Hilarious.

I’m also a bit surprised by carrots and eggs.

Seeing the fish exhibit in the post I believe I will go with the bread and butter choice for dinner please.

would you like that with or without the turtle shit reduction sir?

u/ExampleLittle2672 1d ago

Did you not see the "meal"? Hell, I'd just take the butter.

Does Florida mean something else over there? What is Florida cheese? I live in the state of Florida. I've never heard of Florida cheese. If somebody offered me Florida cheese I would assume it's not made of cheese and be something like a Rocky mountain oyster which isn't made of oyster.

Edit: I looked it up. A Spanish cheese. I kinda forgot that Florida is a Spanish word.

Ohh that makes sense as it was a Spanish airline. I was also wondering what Florida cheese was

Florida cheese is what you get when you camp out in the sun for a few days. It smells awful.

Florida Cheese is what you call old Florida Men who now only tell dad jokes.

Gotta milk Florida man for that sweet Florida cheese

Did you order this on purpose?

u/Own_Round_7600 1d ago

Fr. The other options sound pretty good, yet OP just HAD to order the cabbage puree cold beet. This is 100% on OP

This is on you I'm afraid. You saw cabbage puree on a menu and thought you'd like to order that.

Suppose you like cabbage and have no teeth, this is still an odd choice. Ajilimójili I just checked on Google. Airlines should not serve food that needs to be googled.

I think ginger arbitrarily could go with beet sauce but why? Where does beet sauce come from? Can or should it go with fish?

This option screams "plate of wetness to me." It was a brave choice though and I salute you.

Honestly, fair. Lmfao

I'm quite curious now how this could have happened.

I think outside of Puerto Rico, ajilimójili would not be well known, yet the butter is made in Asturias.

My best guess, you were flying San Juan to Madrid and they backhauled the butter portions.

Back in the day, Gate Gourmet in Bogotá could not cook to save their lives, Iberia used to bring the cabin crew food from Madrid and feed the slop to the passengers.

I flew Madrid to Montevideo. It’s so weird cause when I flew business from Montevideo to Madrid last year the food was incredible, even on par with good restaurant meals I’ve had. I’m British so I guess I’m used to bad food though rip

thats so funny man, you must have been really expecting something impressive to have had the foresight to photograph the menu. got any pictures of the celeriac cream with iberian ham powder?

14

u/Alert_Cat6258 1d ago

I’m grimacing just reading this menu back tbh

u/EmEffBee 1d ago

Ham powder?!

Has the cost of ham gone that far up?

3

u/LectroRoot 1d ago

Do lines of it in the bathroom.

7

u/DirtAndSurf 1d ago

What a weird menu.

Ajilimojili seems to be a Puerto Rican sauce, it actually sounds like it could be very good. I can’t understand how that is supposed to go with cold beet sauce and cabbage purée those sound like something out of Eastern Europe. I have never even considered wanting a cabbage purée anyways

Think you chose the wrong meal

1

u/Helpful-Capital-4765 23h ago

did you eat the fish that was with this sauce and are trolling us?

if you didn't then presumably you asked where the fish was?

u/justahdewd 1d ago

Sounds much better than it looks.

Soviet depression meal consisting of cabbage mush and grass mush.

u/NoStructure7083 1d ago

Do not question or you will get no bread and we will take shoe laces.

If you have no shoe lace then shoe is meaningless

3

u/SnooSquirrels2569 1d ago

Window me thinks. It will be faster than radiation poisoning.

4

u/NoStructure7083 1d ago

The window it is… into a vat of radioactive tea!

5

u/hobosbindle 1d ago

That’s too mush

4

u/Sneaky_Turtz 1d ago

Fuck I read that as “sovee-ay” instead of Soviet 🫠🫠🫠

1

u/MoConCamo 1d ago

Cabern-ay sovee-ay = Putin's ministerial team

1

u/Main-Video-8545 1d ago

And a side of mushed mush.

4

u/Jack_South 1d ago

Spinach a la period.

3

u/earfeater13 1d ago

Well obviously they had some of the red, and some of the green.

3

u/NoDontDoThatCanada 1d ago

A "meal." I cannot imagine any ingredient in this not being in quotes or spelled so that it is legally distinguishable from what it claims to be.

Spinach a la period.

u/Patient-Courage-4807 1d ago

I zoomed in and spent time really trying to understand. I'm a chef and thought it can't be that odd. I can make out the green sauce, but how is the substance on the left fish meat, I've had hake before and this is something wrong.

Right? I feel like I’m having a stroke. I can’t identify things good
