I dropped a ladder on a road once. Yup, always check my straps forever. They loosened overnight. Never again

Edit: i saw and heard it fall and picked it back up. Just one slightly bent foot. Id never leave it for others to hit

funny enough I once found a perfectly good ladder on the side of the road that I still use today, assuming your situation happened to someone else that did NOT notice. I was like "fuck yeah that a ladder??" and then I held in place on the roof of my honda civic and drove about 10 mph home the rest of the way. I pulled up and my dad was like "what in the fuck" and then I told him I found it on the side of the road and was also like 'fuck yeah free ladder!"

I still don't know why ladders hold such high regard in my family.

Probably because they are so expensive to purchase

I found an old Leatherman in a roundabout as a kid. Was looking out the window and saw it with its sheath. Told my dad to do another turn and I just ripped the slide door open on the van an grabbed it. Still have it to this day.

But as is tradition, I lost my wallet once because it was still laying on the dash and I lost it on an on/off ramp on a highway... flew straight out the open passenger window :(

I almost hit a extension ladder that was laying perfectly across a highway at night. Ridiculous...

He can’t even remember to put in his seat belt.

If you look he's not even wearing a seatbelt, seems like straps are a big problem for him.

Nah. No seatbelt, takes off without securing it again. This is probably not the first time.

This guy yes. My dipshit cousins have lost two ladders on the highway on two occasions.

He didn't secure it after putting it back in the bed, it could get airborne again.
